It’s that time of the year again and all the geeks out there are eagerly waiting for the launch of this device, yes I am talking about the OnePlus. Their next flagship, OnePlus 6 has now spotted on AnTuTu with a screenshot, and it reveals some interesting stuff about the phone. Take a look at the leaked screenshot:
There is no doubt that OnePlus 6 is power packed with some great specs, but other than that it also features iPhone X style display notch. According to the sources, the benchmark tests of the OnePlus 6 reveals that with a score of 276510 in the AnTuTu benchmark, it beats the previous OnePlus 5T and also the upcoming Mi Mix 2S device.
Leaks revel that the device is all set to be launched on March 27th but so far, there is no confirmation from OnePlus regarding this. With these great CPU score now it is pretty clear that the device will be powered by Snapdragon 845 processor.
Now if you notice these screenshots carefully, they in the 19:9 aspect ratio, now this is something which is really interesting. Also visible is the icon arrangement on the notification shade. The clock is moved to the left and there’s a huge gap on the middle of the display. This suggests that the phone indeed is coming with a notch on top, like we saw on the previous hands on leak.
All the manufactures out there are implementing the 18:9 aspect ratios and here OnePlus has gone beyond and came up with displays supporting 19:9 aspect ratio. Talking about other specifications, the device comes in two different variants, the 6GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage, and the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant.
2018 has all been about the notch on the top of the display, this thing is not definitely going to last for a long time, but how about hiding the front camera completely behind the screen? Now that might take ages or else we can probably see this by 2019. Have you ever thought that there would be a day when we would be using fingerprint scanner beneath the display? No right, so yeah the technology is evolving day by day and we are getting to see the new feature every now and then.
3 alleged Apple iPhone X Dummy Models Shows up in a Video
There were rumours that Apple is planning to launch four new iPhones this year in September. The iPhone SE2 was supposed to be a part of the launch but now it seems that Apple has cancelled it and it won’t be coming anytime soon. However, people are eagerly waiting for the other three devices from Apple. We have already seen many images, CAD renders and 360-degree video based leaks of the new iPhones in past.
Now, a new video sourced from Macotakara has appeared online which showcases dummy models of three unreleased iPhones. The blog claims that these 3D mockups are close to the final designs found from Asian supply chains.
The first one is a standard 5.8 inch iPhone X which is expected to be launched as iPhone X 2018. This device measures 143.65 x 72.03 x 7.69 mm which is almost on par with the dimensions of last years iPhone X. There is a meagre difference of 1.1mm which implies that iPhone X cases can be used for the 2018 version as well.
The next one is a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone which measures 150.91 x 75.72 x 8.47 mm and will be the cheapest one in the group. It is slightly thicker than the alleged iPhone X 2018 and is suspected to be a completely new device by Apple.
Another one is a large 6.4-inch iPhone that measures 157.53 x 77.44mm and has a thickness of 7.85mm. In terms of physical aspects, it is very close to the iPhone 8 plus. It sports an OLED display and is 1mm shorter as well as 1mm wider compared to the iPhone 8 plus. The blog also mentions that this alleged iPhone X Plus will come with same cameras as the current iPhone X.
The above video gives us a definite idea about the upcoming iPhones. However, we cannot believe blindly on the confirmation that these are exact mockups of the real ones, so take these with a pinch of salt. We will keep you updated with the latest information on the same. Till then, stay tuned.
Alleged Mi A2 appears on a Hands On video online, Taken Down!
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi launched the Mi 6X smartphone back in April at China. Fans are still waiting for the stock Android-powered A2 variant of the smartphone globally. Today a Spainish tech duo claimed that they got their hands on a prototype of the device and uploaded it with the relevant details.
Take a look at the screenshots from the video:
The video was about 11 minutes but contains plenty of details about the yet to be official Mi A2. Under the hood, there seems to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 powering the device. There is a dual camera setup at the rear which the PimpiTronic guys even manage to show some samples and selfies. But at a video resolution it’s hard to judge the quality.
As mentioned before, it runs stock Android, and not the MIUI like last year’s Mi A1, as this is an Android One device. The Chinese variant features a 5.99 inch display with FHD+ resolution and has an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is backed by a 3010 mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support and offers a AI powered vertical dual camera setup and a fingerprint sensor below it. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz Octa core Qualcomm 660 chipset which is coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The dual camera setup consists of 20 MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 12 MP secondary sensor with f/1.8 aperture. On the front it offers a 20 MP camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The camera also supports AI scene detection much like the one in Mi Mix 2s, and can recognise upto 206 scene modes. It came with company’s AI assistant XiaoAI out of the box.
Xiaomi was quick to take action and the video is down but the details are all over the internet now. The hands-on video suggests the launch may be imminent for the phone.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 won’t feature a Physical Shutter Button, New Leak Suggests
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is something that should be close to perfect flagship phone that includes the best of both worlds, combining the professional and personal use of a phone, with the best in class specifications and breakthrough features. Regarding this effort by Samsung, it was rumored that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 would come with a better dual camera setup and a physical camera shutter button earlier.
But now, as per the latest reports, the phone would be having a power button, volume rockers, and a Bixby button. So, as of now, there doesn’t seem to be any chance Samsung will include a physical camera shutter button. Earlier, some photos of cases for the Galaxy Note 9 were leaked which indicated that there might be a possibility of having a physical shutter button. Ice Universe, a tipster has now said that cutouts on the cases are for two holes, for attaching a lanyard.
However, even if Samsung skips the physical shutter button, the Galaxy Note 9 would surely be top notch in terms of hardware. The phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor or Samsung’s own Exynos 9810, depending on the country. It is being rumored that there will be an option to expand the memory up to 2TB.
We may not see an In-Display fingerprint scanner, but Samsung might include a fingerprint scanner that uses ultrasonic tech so that the scanner can be hidden under glass, and probably be placed on the bottom bezel. The Galaxy Note 9 may also come with improved AI capabilities and a better assistant- Bixby 2.0, improved camera setup, like the Galaxy S9 Plus and more.
