Nubia entered the smartphone gaming smartphone industry by launching the Nubia Red Magic earlier this year. Now, the brand preparing to launch a successor for the Red Magic. The device is expected to be named Red Magic 2. The company has teased the key specifications of the device as a poster on Weibo.
The poster reveals that the Nubia Red Magic 2 will feature the Snapdragon 845 chipset. In case you don’t remember, Snapdragon 835 was used in the original Nubia Red Magic. The major attraction of the smartphone would be the presence of 10 GB of RAM. We have seen two smartphones from Xiaomi, the Black Shark Helo and Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 to feature 10 GB RAM.
There will be a dual cooling system in the smartphone to keep the device cool on extensive gaming sessions. It comprises of air cooling and water-cooling technologies. The handset also equips 3D surround sound output and it will also carry support for the 4D shock to have an intuitive experience.
Other specifications like the camera, battery capacity, display size are not known yet but it seems like there won’t be major changes in the camera department. The external design of the camera module also resembles the Nubia Red Magic. The device will face serious competitions from the newly launched the Asus ROG phone, Black Shark Helo and Razer Phone 2.
The expected launch date of the device is not known yet. The brand has started selling the Red Magic at discounted prices hinting that it has plans to launch the device soon in the market. The 64 GB variant of the Nubia Red Magic which comes with 6 GB RAM which was sold at 2,299 Yuan (~$330) is now available to purchase at a reduced price of 2,099 Yuan (~$300) in China.
