HMD Global started sending invites for their launch of new Nokia device in Taiwan on April 2nd. The geekbench listing of the upcoming phone has been out. There are going to launch Nokia X71 in Taiwan but it would be called as Nokia 6.2 in Global Markets. If the geekbench listing is not a gimmick then the Nokia 6.2 is real upgrade over Nokia 6.1.
The Geekbench listing confirms that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 which is still an awesome processor. By the time, everyone may know the specifications of the chip. Compared to the Snapdragon 630 which powered Nokia 6.1, this is a real successor to it. There are rumors that the device will have a triple camera setup, which the primary will be of 48MP, we don’t have any information on the sensor nor the rest of the cameras.
The listing shows that the device runs on Android Pie and is powered by 6GB of RAM. We’re not sure that whether the 6GB variant will go Global as there were only 3,4GB’s variant of Nokia 6.1.
And moreover this is the first phone from HMD Global which will have a punch hole display. If it is priced decently it would be a strong competitior to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7. Anyway we’re looking forward to April 2, to get more information on this.
