Nokia X6 Launched in China, comes with SD 636, AI Cameras & a 19:9 Notched Display

After a long anticipated wait finally HMD Global has unveiled the Nokia X6 a.k.a Nokia X in China. Like every other new Android phone, the device embraces the notch in the display for the first time ever in a Nokia device, which houses front-facing camera, earpiece, and the proximity sensor. Although the hype is high, we know pretty much everything there is to know about the device already, thanks to the previous leaks.

The device features a full metal frame with front and back glass design and also comes with an edge-to-edge 5.8 inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with 19:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 2,280×1,080pixels, and of course with a notch on top. The device comes packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC which is accompanied with a 509 GPU of Adreno. Besides that, there are two variants of storage configuration among them one is 4 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage and the other one is 6 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard storage, however, for further need of storage one can pop in a micro SD card.

In terms of camera configuration, the smartphone comes with a dual camera setup, which includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor of aperture f/2.0, along with a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor of aperture f/2.2.  As an add-on, HMD Global also armed the camera with AI functionality which has the facial recognition technology to unlock face as a security feature of the device. Apart from that the device also comes with a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.  The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Last but not the least, the device is powered by a 3,060 mAh battery with a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 capability that can take the battery from 0 to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.

As a connectivity option, the device is equipped with USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and Wi-Fi. A 3.5mm audio port is also present, with that the device also sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner for better authentication including a Face Unlock.

However, in terms of pricing and availability 4GB RAM variant priced at 1,299 Yuan (which is approximately Rs 13,900), whereas the top end variant with 6GB of RAM will set you back by 1,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 18,100). The smartphone seems to be exclusive to the Chinese market as HMD Global has not disclosed any details about the global launch.

Honor had launched the Honor 8X and 8X Max a month back in China. Since then, there were leaks and speculations about the global launch of these devices. A few weeks back, Honor had officially confirmed the global launch dates of these new handsets.

The company had teased the Honor 8X’s Indian launch on its official Twitter handle a couple of days back. Today, Honor has finally launched the Honor 8X in an event held in India.

The Honor 8X sports a large 6.5-inch screen with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. The smartphone features a notch on the top of the display. The screen to body ratio of the device is 91% with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device is the first smartphone to feature a TUV Rheinland certified display. This certification indicates that display is safe to look at and has passed several tests thrown at it. Honor-8X-color-variants

The rear side of the device is covered in a 15-layer glare 2.5D glass which has two different textures. Under the hood, it is powered by Kirin 710 processor. The handset packs sufficient 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, It features a 16 MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera has 20 MP + 2 MP sensors with AI capabilities like scene recognition. As far as the software is concerned, it has Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 on top. The handset draws juice from a 3750 mAh battery.

The 4 GB RAM variant coupled with 64 GB of internal storage is priced at Rs. 14,999 while the higher 6 GB RAM variant with 64 GB internal storage is selling for Rs.16,999. The highest variant with 6GB of RAM & 128 GB internal storage is available to buy at Rs.18,999. Both the variants will be available to purchase from 24th October on Amazon India & HiHonor store.

Coolpad Note 8 Launched in India. Comes with 5.99 inch Display & 4000mAh battery!

Chinese manufacturer Coolpad has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed as the Coolpad Note 8, it succeeds the Coolpad Note 6 launched back in may this year. The phone’s highlights include dual camera setup, Face Unlock and a huge battery. Commenting on the launch, Syed Tajuddin, CEO of Coolpad India said:

After going through a rough phase we are looking forward to make an impact in the Indian market with Coolpad Note 8. This product will also be our first cooperation with Paytm and we are looking forward to make it a mutually beneficial one

The Coolpad Note 8 comes with a 5.99 inch display (without a notch) with a resolution of FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad core MediaTek MTK6750T paired with MaliT860-MP2 GPU. It comes with a single variant with a 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage configuration which can be further expanded upto 128GB via a microSD card.

On the optics department, the device comes with a dual camera setup in the rear with 16MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and autofocus paired with a 0.3MP secondary camera. The dual cameras are stacked in a vertical arrangement in the middle with the LED Flash in the side. On the front, it offers a 8MP 4P lens with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling, The cameras come with features like filters, face beauty, blur mode, panorama mode and more.

The handset runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and will be backed by a 4,000 mAh battery which the company claims to offer 200 hours of standby time and 8 hours of talk time. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and a 3.5mm headphone jack while sensors on board include proximity sensor, light sensor, accelerometer and a circular fingerprint sensor at the rear that claims a unlock speed of 0.2 seconds. Additional features include gesture controls and Face Unlock. It measures 151 x 72.5 x 8.3 mm and weigh 185 grams.

The Coolpad Note 8 comes at a price tag of Rs 9,999 for the sole variant and will be exclusively available via Paytm Mall starting today with a Black Piano color option.

Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus & Huawei Enjoy Max now Official in China

Huawei has announced two new devices in a launch event today in the Enjoy lineup, namely the Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus and the Huawei Enjoy Max. Both the devices are mid-range smartphones and pack a lot of impressive features.

The Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus sports a large 6.5-inch notched display with 2340×1080 pixel resolution. The rear of the handset is made like a 3D curved surface for better in-hand grip. The processor running the device is Huawei’s own Kirin 710 processor with GPU Turbo technology. The presence of GPU Turbo technology improves the graphical performance of the device, especially in graphics intensive games.

In terms of optics, there is a vertically stacked 13 MP + 2 MP AI dual-camera with support for 500+ scene recognition and super night scene mode. The front camera is a dual 16 MP setup which supports 8 different scene recognition.Huawei-Enjoy-9-Plus-Color-Variants

There will be two variants for the device – one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage and the other one with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage which is further expandable with the help of a micro SD card. The handset draws juice from a 4000 mAh battery and will be available in Night Black, Sakura Powder, Sapphire Blue, and Aurora Violet color variants. The 64 GB variant is priced at 1499 Yuan and 128 GB variant will be available to buy at 1699 Yuan.

Coming to the Huawei Enjoy Max, it packs a gigantic 7.12-inch Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2244 pixel resolution. There is a water drop shaped notch on the display. Under the hood, it runs on Snapdragon 660 chipset. The internal storage and RAM variants of the device are the same as Huawei Enjoy lus. It runs EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The rear camera on the Huawei Enjoy Max is a 16 MP + 2 MP with f/2.0and f/2.4 aperture respectively. In the front, the waterdrop notch houses the 8 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. It will be available in Sky White, Magic Night Black, and Amber Brown color variants.

In terms of pricing, the 64 GB variant is priced at 1699 Yuan while the 128 GB model costs 1999 Yuan. Pre-orders have started in China and the 64 GB variant will go on sale from October 20 and the 128 GB variant will be available to purchase from November 1.
