The Nokia X6 was launched in China last month as company’s first phone to come with a Notch and sales are doing great there. The smartphone was ought to stay an exclusive to Chinese markets, but now we are getting hints of it coming to Global markets. It may be due to the fact that the Nokia X6 provides good Value for Money which usually is not the part of Nokia trend. The hint comes from Taiwan’s NCC where a similar unknown Nokia device just got certification.
The smartphone is listed with the model number TA-1103, which gives confirmation that it is built by HMD Global. Although there is no mention of the name X6 in the listing, it’s quite similar to the model number of original Nokia X6 (TA-1099) and more possibly, the global version of the X6. The same model number passed Bluetooth certification along with the original X6 sometime ago in China.
Earlier, we got hints that the Nokia X6 may come in global markets and we won’t be surprised if the global version comes with a different name. Given that the certification document didn’t reveal if there are going to be any hardware differences, the upcoming Nokia TA-1103 will have same specifications as the X6.
This indicates that the Nokia X6 may come in global markets with same specs including a 5.8-inch FullHD+ display complete with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. You do have an option to choose between 32GB and 64GB versions and the presence of SD card slot allows further storage expansion.
In terms of Cameras, the device sports a Dual Rear Camera setup featuring a 16MP primary shooter with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 5MP f/2.2 shooter that serves for the collection of the depth information. A 16MP shooter is present at the front for Selfies and supports Face Unlock and few other AI features.
The device is backed by a 3,060 mAh battery, aided by QuickCharge 3.0 which allows it to juice up from 0 to 50 percent in just 30 minutes through the given USB C port.
As far as pricing and availability are concerned when launched in China, the 4GB RAM variant was priced at 1,299 Yuan which is roughly Rs 13,900, whereas the top end variant with 6GB of RAM costs 1,699 Yuan which is approximately Rs 18,100. Let’s see what Nokia has actually planned, Stay tuned for future updates.
All Samsung Galaxy S10 variants to Support Reverse Wireless Charging!
Earlier this week, a report surfaced online disclosing the price of the Samsung Galaxy S10 trio in the UK. The source also revealed the possibility of Samsung implementing a reverse wireless charger like the one on Huawei Mate 20 Pro and now an independent source confirms it to be true.
The new leak claims that the reverse wireless charging will feature on all the three variants of Galaxy S10, including the Lite version. The technology will be called “Powershare” but we are not so sure about its usability. The standard wireless charging is pretty slow and charging another smartphone with your smartphone will be even less effective. However, its still early to comment on it and the South Korean may have a better solution than Huawei’s Mate Pro reverse charging or it could be just another marketing gimmick.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 will be available in three variants: a regular version, a Plus version and a flat variant. It is expected to come with a Infinity-O display with a cut-out notch containing the selfie camera. The device is also touted to come with a new in-screen fingerprint scanner that uses ultrasound to read the ridges in the finger in 3D but the iris scanner is likely to be shelved.
The Lite variant of the smartphone featuring a 5.8 inch display will have 128GB storage and priced at £669. The regular curved variant of the S10 with 6.1 inch display will be offered in 128GB and 512GB RAM and will cost £799 and £999 respectively. The third model is offered in a 128GB, 512GB and 1TB storage variant costing £899, £1099 and £1399 respectively. The 1TB storage variant may be the rumoured 5G supported 6.7 inch model with six cameras considering the high price tag. From previous reports, the device will be available in 4GB, 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM and sport triple camera setup at the rear.
Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S10 series ahead of the Mobile World Congress on February 20. It will be available for pre-order from that day and will go on sale from March 8.
