HMD Global is working on a new Nokia flagship! Dubbed as the Nokia A1 Plus, it comes with all the features you can expect from a top-level flagship. Rumours of a Nokia 9 with an under display fingerprint sensor has been around since March. The new report comes from Winfuture.de which shows what we expect from future Nokia flagship smartphones.

The Nokia A1 is mentioned by multiple names in the document, it is referred to as A1P, AOP and A1 Plus Euro which hints it will be launched on a global scale. The names also suggest it will be closely related to Nokia 8 Sirocco. It will be manufactured by FIX Mobile (Foxconn) and will be powered by the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

However, the main attraction is its inclusion of an in-screen fingerprint sensor which makes it the first Nokia smartphone to feature that. The under display fingerprint sensor means the smartphone will come with an OLED display too which will be supplied by LG who is known to provide the same for the Pixel 2 and upcoming Pixel 3 smartphone.

The documents did not reveal any details about the camera configuration but it mentions “high risk camera”. Though we have no idea what it is we can make an educated guess and say it is a high end camera. The device is expected to run the to be released Android 9.0 P .

The Nokia A1 Plus is in development since February and was previously scheduled for a mid-year launch. But due to production challenges, it has been pushed to the second half. HMD Global is targeting the European markets first so there is a possibility of getting a glimpse of the device at IFA Berlin to be held from August 31.

Leaked Honor 10 Lite TV Commercial reveals front and rear design

Published

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is all set to unveil the new Honor 10 Lite smartphone on November 21st, making it less than a week far from the official launch. Earlier, we saw the device and its specs on TENAA, and now the phone is spotted in its first TV Commercial, revealing the front and rear design.

According to the commercial, the upcoming Honor 10 Lite sports a water drop notch at the front and a vertically stacked pair of segregated cameras at the back, summing up for a design reminiscent to the recently launched Honor 8X Max. The phone is advertised with “no gradient means no youth” quote, and hence it bears a glossy glass back with gradient colour options including a blue-white gradient along with a “Passionate Red” version.

The device shown in advertisement lacks any branding on the back and has a clean look which we think won’t be the case with the retail version. Moreover, the fingerprint scanner is given at the median and the power, as well as volume buttons, are placed on the right frame.

You can have a look at the video below:

As for the specs, the previous leaks including the TENAA listing suggested that this Honor 9 Lite successor will come with a 6.21-inch IPS LCD panel having a Full-HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, the Honor 10 Lite will be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710/659 along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (more variants expected) which can also be expanded up to 256GB using the given Micro SDcard slot. Furthermore, it will pack in dual 13+2MP Rear cameras and a 24MP Front Camera. Both the shooters will incorporate nifty AI features, as seen on previous Huawei/Honor phones.

On the software front, it will run EMUI 9.0 and will be backed by a 3,200mAh battery with lack of any fast charging support. Lastly, the phone will weigh 162 grams and will have a 154.7 x 73.6 x 8 mm body.

Not to forget, the device was also spotted in a special “Supreme Edition” with red colour and Sup branding at the back, hinting at Honor’s partnership with the famous American Clothing brand Supreme, following the same, the company may also launch this limited edition phone later at a higher price. That being said, let’s wait for the phone to land in Beijing on 21st of November. Till then, stay tuned.
