Nokia 9’s leaked 360-degree video and renders reveal 5 rear cameras!

Published

In past few months, we have been hearing quite a lot of leaks about the HMD Global’s new flagship i.e. the Nokia 9 which will reportedly have five rear cameras and Pureview moniker. Now, we have leaked renders and 360-degree video of the device, giving us an idea about how the looks of the handset, on-par with the previous leaks.

As per the newly leaked renders by 91Mobiles in partnership with @OnLeaks, Nokia 9 bears a Notchless full-view display in an 18:9 aspect ratio at the front with small bezels on bottom and top, followed by the Nokia branding. Moving on, the curved back seems to be constructed out of glass. Furthermore, it houses a total of five cameras placed in a hexagonal layout along with a dual-tone dual-LED flash and Zeiss branding.

The power button and volume rockers are given to the right, while the bottom showcases a USB Type-C port and a single speaker grill. Also, the device seems to skimp on 3.5mm audio jack and there’s no physical fingerprint scanner, hinting towards an In-display implementation. Moreover, it may also come with a full-fledged face unlock feature.

As far as the speculations go, the camera setup is most likely to consist of a telephoto lens, a wide-angle lens and a depth-sensing camera among others. Also, if you’d have guessed, there is an extra seventh ring which is assumed to be the dual-sensor to be used for proximity detection. As of now, there is no clarification on what specs these lenses will carry and how will they function.

As for the specs, the Nokia 9 is expected to come with a 5.9″ Quad-HD+ Display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (Yes, the current rumors hint that it’ll pack SD845 instead of the upcoming SD855) which is a disappointment in itself and also means that it will lack 5G cellular support. Other speculated specs include 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a large 4150mAh battery along with an IP rating for water and dust resistance.

We all know that Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is very quick in the product lifecycle of smartphones by launching two smartphones a year. The brand had unveiled its flagship device OnePlus 6T a few months back and its time for the leaks and speculations regarding the upcoming flagship, OnePlus 7.

A leaked image suggests the presence of the slider mechanism for housing the camera on the top of the handset. We have seen devices with slider mechanisms in the past with the Oppo Find X, & the Mi Mix 3 and it will be interesting to witness how OnePlus would implement this technology.

The top and side bezels are barely noticeable in the image. In addition to it, the corners are curved towards the edges which resemble Samsung flagship smartphones. The power button is mounted on the right side of the handset along with the alert slider seen on other OnePlus devices.

Also, the home screen shows the Never Settle wallpaper on the leaked image. There are more chances that this leaked image might turn out to be a photoshopped one, so take it with a pinch of salt. There are no official confirmations regarding this and we’ll have to wait to know more information.

The above image showcases the results of a speed test done on Androbench, a storage benchmarking tool for the latest UFS 3.0 technology and it appears like the upcoming OnePlus devices would make use of this technology according to the sources. This would result in faster transfer rates and would make the entire experience better.
