Realme 3 Pro & Realme C2 Launched in India!

Published

on

After months of teasers and rumours, Realme has finally launched the Realme 3 Pro. The phone was first announced in the Realme 3 launch and is a direct competitor to the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The Chinese manufacturer also launched a budget smartphone called Realme C2.

Realme 3 Pro

The Realme 3 Pro looks very similar to its predecessor Realme 2 Pro both in the front and rear. However, it does have a few aces up its sleeve. The rear panel is curved which blends with the side frame and helps in a strong grip. The back is made from injection-moulded plastic while the display is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5.

The device features a 6.3 inch IPS display with a resolution of FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) and a waterdrop notch on top. Realme decided to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 compared to the SD 675 on the Redmi Note 7. The SD 675 may be a latest and slight powerful chipset than the SD 710 but the later makes it up in graphics power and efficiency as indicated by the benchmark scores. There are two variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. You don’t have to worry about replacing a SIM card as it comes with a dedicated microSD slot which can be expanded up to 256GB.

The Realme 3 Pro might lack the 48MP large sensor on the Redmi Note 7 Pro and packs a decent 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor with f/1.7 aperture which is the same sensor used in OnePlus 6T. It is paired with a 5MP depth sensor for Portrait mode. On the front, it offers a 25MP camera up to f/2.0 aperture. There is HDR support and can shoot videos up to 4K resolution but no stabilization. Shooting modes include Time-lapse, Expert, Pano, Slo-mo and a Nightscape mode for low-light photography. It does offer a 960fps which is likely a marketing gimmick and aided by software.

The Realme 3 Pro runs ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie with some third party apps like ShareChat, NewsPoint, Webnovel etc. The handset draws power from a massive 4045 mAh battery with support for Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging standard (20W). There is no USB Type-C port and we are still stuck with a microUSB port. However, unlike the Redmi Note 7 Pro, it ships with a fast charger.

The Realme 3 Pro does bring some uniqueness in its own. It is the only smartphone in its range with Fortnite support. It has Widevine support for online streaming, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, FM radio, and a bunch of other connectivity options.

Realme C2

The Realme C2 features a 6.1 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of HD+ (1570 x 720 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. It houses a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and comes in two configurations 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Realme C2 comes with a Plastic body with Gorilla Glass 3 on front.

The device sports a dual camera setup of 13MP + 2MP with LED while offering a 5MP on front. It runs on ColorOS 6.0 Lite based an Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual SIM, Wi-Fi b/g/n. Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS, FM Radio, microUSB and a 3.5 mm jack.

Realme 3 Pro, Realme C2 Price and Availability

The Realme 3 Pro comes at a price tag of Rs 13,999 and Rs 16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants. It will be available in Nitro Blue, Carbon Grey and Lightning Purple variants. The first sale begins on April 29. As for the Realme C2, it is priced at Rs 5,999 and Rs 7,999 for the 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM variants. It will be available in Diamond Black and Diamond Blue color schemes.
