Nokia 7.2 Spotted in GeekBench. Comes with Snapdragon 660!

Published

on

HMD is expected to launch the Nokia 7.2 later this month in China and a global release at IFA in September.  Ahead of the official unveiling, the mid-range Nokia smartphone is spotted on the  benchmarking site Geekbench. The benchmark result reveals key details about the phone ‘s specs including its chipset.

The smartphone was benchmarked in Geekbench as the “HMD Global Nokia 7.2”. According to the listing, the device has 6GB RAM and runs on Android 9 Pie. We can expect other RAM variants too but this should be the highest RAM option. The predecessor Nokia 7.1 was available in 3GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants.

The Geekbench listing doesn’t mention the chipset and the motherboard says “Daredevil” which is the phone’s codename. However taking its base frequency of 1.84GHz and comparing to other benchmarked devices, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 660. So, the rumours about the Nokia 7.2 being powered by the SD 660 turned out to be true. This is a fair upgrade considering the Nokia 7.1 came with a Snapdragon 636 chipset.

Nokia 7.2

As for its performance, the device managed to score 1604 and 5821 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. They are similar to the score of Redmi Note 7 which have the same SD 660 chipset. The handset is said to sport a triple rear camera setup stacked in a circular housing. The configuration of the cameras is unknown but we can expect it to have ZEISS lens. Moreover, it should come with a FHD+ display and a rear mounted circular fingerprint sensor.

HMD is yet to reveal the remaining specifications of the Nokia 7.2. We have to wait till the launch event to known the full specs, price and availability of the device. Till then, keep tuned.

Samsung has a good year with its ultra-premium flagship phones in 2019. The Galaxy S10 series and the Galaxy Note 10 series brought out the best of what Samsung has to offer while the Galaxy Fold included years of the company’s research in foldable technology. Now according to a bunch of leaks from Sam Mobiles, the South Korean manufacturer has two more models for its 2019 flagship series called the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite.

The Galaxy S10 will be joining the three models from the Galaxy S10 series while the Note 10 Lite will be the third device in the Galaxy Note 10 line-up. According to the new report, the new phones could launch very soon, probably within weeks.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is said to carry the model number SM-G770F. It is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset and will be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The phone is said to include a 48MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide secondary camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, it is supposed to offer a 32MP selfie camera.

All these are rumored to be backed by a 4,500 mAh battery which is expected to be supported by a 45W charging. The display is reported to be 6.7 inches with Full HD+ resolution. From the specs, the device is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10e, but the latest phone would be better than or equal to it

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is expected to launch in the European market soon with Red and Black color options. There is not much information about the smartphone but it is expected to bring in the S Pen support from Note 10 with a couple of new features. The internal specs are supposed to be inferior to the Note 10, like a smaller display or smaller battery size. There is no official confirmation but looking at the leaks, we can expect an announcement from Samsung soon.

Realme Flagship, Realme X2 Pro confirmed in China. To come with SD855 Plus & 90Hz display!

Published

on

Realme has launched a couple of good smartphones over the past couple of months including the Realme XT which is the first smartphone with a 64MP primary camera in India. We already know the Chinese manufacturer is planning to launch the Realme XT 730G in India in December and now the latest news is that the company will launch a flagship in China called the Realme X2 Pro.

The news comes from Realme China’s director Wang Wei Derek, who claimed in a Weibo post that Realme is working on a new flagship smartphone. He didn’t reveal the name but used the hashtag #X2Pro which kind of confirms it. The phone will likely be an upgraded version of the Realme X2 launched in China last week, which itself is the Chinese variant of the Realme XT, launched in the Indian market.

The Weibo post further suggests that the Realme X2 Pro will feature a 90 Hz display and powered by a Snapdragon 855+ chipset. Other than that, there is very little information on the device including the launch date of the smartphone.

Since the smartphone is a pumped-up version of the Realme X2, we can expect similar specifications with slight upgradations. The device features a 6.4 inch AMOLED display with a HD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels)and  equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 730G chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz.

In the optics department, the X2 sports a quad camera setup at the back. It consists of a 64MP Samsung GW1 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. On the front there is a 32MP camera placed on the waterdrop notch. The phone runs ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 30W VOOC fast charging.

The Realme X2 Pro is likely to launch by the end of this year. We expect to hear more announcements or leaks in the upcoming weeks. Till then, keep tuned.
