After a series of leaks and rumors, the Nokia 6 (2018) has launched finally by HMD Global, making it their first smartphone in 2018. The newly announced Nokia 6 (2018) is the successor of Nokia 6 which was launched in 2017 with a front facing fingerprint scanner and Snapdragon 430 processor.
The Nokia 6 (2018) is currently launched only in china, and details about its global debut is still unknown. It is expected that it will be launched in India once initial orders in China are fulfilled. The 32GB version of the smartphone is available with a price tag of CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 14,600), whereas its 64GB variant will come at CNY 1,699 (approximately Rs. 16,600). Both the variants will come in Black and Silver colour options.
The Nokia 6 (2018) ditches the capacitive home buttons for onscreen ones, in a move to deliver a near stock android ui experience. The fingerprint scanner has been moved to conventional position in the back panel. The display comes with a 16:9 aspect ratio, against an expected 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone features a metal unibody design, made of 6000 series aluminium.
It comes with a 5.5 inch IPS FHD display with 16:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and spots 4GB of RAM. The phone supports Micro SD card upto 128GB and have Dual SIM(nano) facility.
In the camera department we have a 16MP lens with dual-tone LED flash and PDAF lens that has f/2.0 aperture in the rear. The front camera comes with a wide angle (84-degree) 8MP lens with f/2.0 aperture. It also supports the Bothie mode, exclusive for Nokia phones, which enables the user to click photos with both front and rear cameras simultaneously.
The device will be coming with Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box, with a confirmed update to Android Oreo. It packs a 3000 mAh battery with fast charging support.

The Nokia 6 (2018) has been the subject for several leaks recently. In a latest such event, the official renders of the Nokia 6 (2018) has been leaked online. The latest images is similar to the ones that surfaced few days ago. Most of the design elements in the previously leaked renders are similar to the official renders.
There were rumors that the Nokia 6 2018 will be featuring a bezel-less display. The leaked official renders proves that the rumors were correct. The front camera is placed on the top right corner of the screen. There is no physical home and back buttons, which might become a little inconvenient to few users.
The lining surrounding the sides makes it stunning. The lining can be seen around the rear camera too. The rear camera and flash is setup vertically surrounded by the lining. The Nokia branding is also placed vertically in the back panel, inline with the vertically mounted camera and flash, which we have seen in the old Microsoft Lumia devices.
The finger print sensor is placed in between the Nokia branding and camera, with a copper lining running through its corners. The color scheme blends well with the design, along with the matte finished back panels. The camera mounting is a little projected outwards, which might cause scratches if used carelessly.
The power and volume buttons are placed on the right side of the device, which is convenient for single hand use. The main difference in the Nokia 6 2018 from its predecessor is the ditching of physical buttons for on screen ones. The design theme has improved significantly, along with the addition of the finger print sensor in the rear.
In the camera department, it has a primary camera with 16MP f/2.0 lens and an 8MP front facing camera with f/2.0 lens.The Nokia 6 2018 will be powered by an octa- core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. The RAM available is 4G for all both variants, with 32GB and 64GB storage options.
It comes with a 3000mAh battery and a near stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, with a confirmed update to Oreo. It will will be available in two color options, Black with orange accents and White with red accents.The leaked official images of the smartphone makes it evident that the 2018 version will be a huge improvement from the old version, thanks to its premium looking design and updated specifications.
The 32 GB version of Nokia 6 (2018) will be sold in China for CNY1,499 (14567.05 Rs), while the 64 GB one will cost CNY1,699 (16530.44 Rs).
