Moto Z4 Launched! Moto Mods Support, SD675, 48MP Rear Camera & Familiar Design!

Motorola has launched a new smartphone in its Z series with support for its Moto Mods. Dubbed as Moto Z4, it was subjected to multiple leaks in the past and even one customer managed to buy it from Amazon before Motorola even announced it.

The Moto Z4 features a 6.40 inch OLED display with a resolution of FHD+ (1080×2340 pixels) and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display sports an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

In the optics department, the device comes with a single rear camera of 48MP with f/1.7 aperture, a pixel size of 1.6-microns, and produces 12MP images. The sensor is likely to be Sony’s 48-megapixel IMX586 sensor, but the Lenovo owned company hasn’t explicitly mentioned the make of the sensor. There is PDAF, laser autofocus along with a correlated temperature (CCT) dual-LED flash. On the front, it offers a 25MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 0.9-micron pixel size.

The handset runs Android 9 Pie in the US which has a single-SIM (Nano). In other regions like India and China, there will likely to be a dual SIM variant. It draws power from a 3,600 mAh battery which claims to deliver battery life up to 2 days. Lenovo has added its 15W TurboPower fast charging tech with a fast charger in the box. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, USB Type-C while sensors on board includes accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope proximity sensor, digital compass. The phone measures 158 x 75 x 7.35 mm and weighs 165 grams.
