Motorola’s upcoming Moto One Power smartphone has been the subject of discussion for quite some time. The device recently cleared 3C certification and was spotted on a Chinese certification agency MIIT. Now, the smartphone is certified by Chinese regulatory agency TENAA with model number XT1942-1. Previously the device’s specifications along with couple of live hands-on images was leaked online.
The TENAA attached images reveals the smartphone will sport a metal unibody design with a top notch that houses the front camera, earpiece and proximity sensor. The back has a dual camera setup stacked in a vertical position on the top left corner accompanied by the company’s logo in the middle that doubles up as a fingerprint sensor.
The camera module along with the LED flash is encased in a single module unlike the Moto one which will have two separate camera bumps. The power button and the volume rocker are placed on the right side while the SIM card slot is placed on the left. There is a USB-C port in the bottom but no 3.5 mm headphone jack. The listing reveals the upcoming smartphone will have TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, LTE FDD, WCDMA, CDMA 1X, CDMA 2000 and GSM network support.
From previous leaks, the Moto One Power will feature a 6.2 inch Full HD+ display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, it will be powered by a Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The rear cameras come with 12MP + 5MP configuration while the front offers an 8MP camera. It will run stock Android 8.1 Oreo and backed by a non-removable Li-Po 3780 mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC and Dual SIM. As of now only the Black colour option is confirmed but other options are expected too.
The Lenovo owned company is also expected to launch the Moto Z3, Moto One and the Moto One Power on its August 2nd Launch event to be held at Motorola headquarters in Chicago, US.
