The Lenovo backed Motorola is expected to launch its new Moto G7 line-up by early 2019. While we already had rumours and leaks regarding the Moto G7 and G7 Plus, and now, the youngest and the most affordable contender of the series, i.e. Moto G7 Play has been spotted on FCC. Although most FCC listings don’t reveal much, this one being an exception has disclosed significant information about the device along with its live images.

As per the FCC listing, the Moto G7 Play carries the model number XT1952. Furthermore, it gets powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, coupled with Adreno 506 GPU which is a significant upgrade over the 400-series chipset used with the Moto G6 Play. RAM and ROM information isn’t revealed, but we expect it to come in 3/32GB and 4/64GB configurations. All of this is backed by a 2,820mAh battery which is a bummer given that even the G6 Play had a large 4,000mAh cell.

Moving on, there are a couple of images attached with the listing. These aren’t renders but actually the real-life images of Moto G7 Play. As per which, the G7 Play will come in Black and Shiny Blue colour options. The front sports a full-view display with a full notch on top, just like the Redmi Note 6 Pro, followed by a chin with Motorola branding at the bottom.

Coming to the back, the G7 Play bears a single camera that sits in a traditional Moto-styled module, along with a single LED flash. Below the camera module, we have a fingerprint scanner with the company’s logo embedded in. Furthermore, the power button and volume rockers are set to the right while the left edge houses dual sim and memory card slot. Thankfully, the device also retains the headphone jack and has a USB type-C port for charging.

As far as the rumours go, Moto will be launching the Moto G7 Play along with the G7, G7 Plus and G7 Power. Let’s wait for the future leaks to reveal more. Till then, stay tuned.
