You know a device is getting launched officially when you get to know that it has been certified by the certification authority in respective countries, be it FCC or TENAA. Today it’s Motorola’s turn, the G6 and the Moto E5 series have received their network certification in Thailand and Indonesia (Moto G6 Play was spotted earlier in NCC). Though the Moto E5 and the E5 Play made it only to Indonesia, the G6 have also made it to Thailand. In the past couple of years, Motorola has received applause from the consumers for their build and the moderate pricing.

Take a look at these:

They have always been known for their build quality and the Vanilla stock Android experience. Talking about the G series line up at first place, the Motorola G6 comes with a 5.7-inch 1080P display and the G6 Plus on the other hand sports a 5.93-inch 1080P display in 18:9 aspect ratio. Talking about some power, the G6 runs on a less powerful Snapdragon 450 processor when compared to the G6 Plus which runs on the Snapdragon 630 chipset.

Also, if you noticed the devices in this post, Moto X5 is no where to be seen, which is testament to the news that X5 has been cancelled by Moto. So, let’s wait for the official launch for more!

Asus is bringing ROG Phone to India in September: Report

Published

on

Asus ROG phone was officially launched a couple of weeks back in Computex 2018 in Taipei by Taiwanese tech giant Asus. Which brings a numerous hype over the world as the phone comes equipped with some serious features that get an edge over its other prominent contenders.

Although, according to the company it was supposed to stay confined to Taiwan. A report from The Mobile Indian claims that Asus is on its way to soon launch the phone in India, that too in September.

And it is also worth mentioning that Indian marketplace is going to get the first ever Gaming Smartphone which is the Asus ROG Phone in India as other contenders such as the Razer Phone, Nubia’s Red Devil and not even Xiaomi’s Black Shark haven’t yet brought their models to India.

Apart from that several online news journals suggest that there is a certain possibility that Asus is going to launch the ROG Phone as early as in September, citing close to the development. Still, it’s surprising that the pricing of the phone hasn’t declared yet even during the time of its official launch event which was held at Taipei.

Asus also displayed the phone in a bit different perspective other than a regular feature-packed flagship phone, after all its a gaming-centric phone. And which comes with some unique features and accessories such as it has ultrasonic AirTrigger touch sensors, side-mounted charging ports optimized for landscape-mode gameplay, 3D vapor-cooling, and more.

Moreover, the company also mentioned that they have put up extreme efforts along with Qualcomm to bring a tweaked version of their latest SoC which is the Snapdragon 845 chipset, to accomplish the highest ever clock speed in a mobile device.

Being said that Asus is also looking forward to bring their ROG phone in some other regions apart from Taiwan & India, and probably the list begins with Europe.

Mi A2 shows up in Swiss Retailer site, to go in sale in August

Published

on

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi launched the Mi 6X smartphone back in April at China. Fans are still waiting for the stock Android-powered A2 variant of the smartphone globally. Previously a video showing the uploaded device had surfaced online. Today, a Swiss online store Digittec.ch has put the smartphone up for pre-order.

The pre-order reveals the smartphone will be available in three configurations: 4GB RAM + 32GB internal storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. Unfortunately there will be no microSD card and we are stuck with on-board storage. They will be available in Black, Blue and Gold colour options.

The 32GB, 64GB and 128GB come at a price tag of CHF 290 (Rs 20,000 approx), CHF 330 (Rs 22,500 approx) and CHF 370 (Rs 25,500 approx), respectively. They will go on sale in August 8, that’s nearly two months from now which makes us to believe the report may not be genuine. So we would advise you to take it with a pinch of salt.

Also note that the phone the retailer has listed is showing MIUI on it’s screen, which means it’s just images of Mi 6x. This could mean two things:

  1. Either this is a fake listing.
  2. Or, this is a placeholder
Whatever be the case, take this news with a pinch of salt.

But it needs to be said that the retailer does sell Xiaomi’s other models such as Mi Mix 2s, Redmi Note 4, Redmi 5 Plus, etc.

The other specs are the same as the Mi 6X except it runs Stock Android which means without any customised company’s UI on top of it. It features a 5.99 inch display with FHD+ resolution and has an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is backed by a 3010 mAh battery and offers a vertical dual camera setup and a fingerprint sensor below it.

It is powered by Qualcomm 626 chipset chipset which is coupled with 4.6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, although there is a 3GB RAM 32GB internal storage variant listed in the store. The dual camera setup consists of 20 MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 12 MP camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture. On the front it offers a 20 MP camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
