Some of the smartphones have already received Android 11 beta updates, and some others will receive in the upcoming days. Back in May, Xiaomi launched MIUI 12 globally which was earlier launched in China in April 2020. In fact, the brand has also started rolling out updates for eligible devices in the region. Today, we will list out the Mi, Redmi & POCO phones which will receive MIUI 12 update, and also the highlights of new MIUI.

MIUI 12 Eligible devices!

As said above, we will list out each of the Xiaomi, and Redmi devices which will be eligible for receiving MIUI 12 update. Although some devices are eligible for MIUI 12 they don’t get Android 10 update. For example; the Redmi 4 which received MIUI 11 last year is still running on Android 7.0.

Xiaomi is rolling out the update in phases to their devices. Here is the complete list:

Back in 2019, Xiaomi created Redmi as a sub-brand of them and launched devices under that branding. Since then, both “Mi” and “Redmi” devices were identified separately.

Mi 10 Pro & Mi 10 MIUI 12 Update

These are the latest flagship device from the brand which came with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. Both the devices were announced on February 2020 with MIUI 11 on top of Android 10. The Pro version gets two telephoto sensors with 2x & 5x optical zoom capability. Other differences include are battery capacity, and fast charging tech. Rest of the specifications are same like 6.67 Super AMOLED display, 108MP Samsung Bright HMX sensor, 8 & 12GB of RAM. The Mi 10 is available in 128 & 256GB, while the Pro is available in 256 & 512GB variants. MIUI 12 will bring a drastic UI change, with support for super live wallpapers, and all other new features. Xiaomi has suspended the beta update of MIUI 12 for both the devices at first, but the official stable ROM is out now.

Mi 10 Lite MIUI 12 Update

It was launched alongside Mi 10/Mi 10 Pro in the European market. The device is a trimmed down version of the Mi 10, and it comes with 5G connectivity. The mid-range chipset i.e. the Snapdragon 76G powers the devices, and it gets a quad-camera setup consisting of 48MP primary, 8MP wide, two 2MP sensors which are macro & depth respectively.   Further, it gets a smaller 6.57-inch AMOLED display and a 4,160mAh battery with 20W fast charging tech.

Mi 10 Lite Zoom/MI 10 Youth MIUI 12 Update

The device was launched in the same event of MIUI 12 in China and was promised to get MIUI 12 update in the first batch. As the name suggests, it’s another version of Mi 10 Lite with zooming capabilities. Every specification of both the devices is the same except for a telephoto sensor. The Zoom version gets an 8MP periscope telephoto sensor with support for 5x optical zoom, and up to 50x digital zoom.

Mi 9 MIUI 12 Update

Mi 9 MIUI 12 UpdateIt is the flagship device from Xiaomi which was launched in the year 2019. The device gets a 6.39-inch S.AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 855. It gets a triple camera consisting of 48MP main, 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, and a 16MP ultra-wide angle sensor. All this is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging tech. The stable MIUI 12 update has started rollout through OTA.

Mi Mix 3 MIUI 12 Update

Mi Mix 3 MIUI 12 UpdateThe Mix series from Xiaomi is an Android phablet with really cool designs. The latest device was the Mi Mix 3 which was launched in October 2018. It gets a really cool design i.e. it has a manual slider for the front cameras. It was powered by Snapdragon 845 and was running on MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie. It was later upgraded to MIUI 11 with Android 10. Talking about the cameras, it had a dual-camera setup comprising of 12MP main + 12MP telephoto sensor. Upfront, it has a manual slider which has a 24MP main + 2MP depth sensor. All this is backed by a 3200mAh battery, and gets a 6.39-inches Super AMOLED full-screen display with HDR compatibility.  There are no details when exactly the brand will roll out MIUI 12 update.

Mi Mix 2/Mi Mix 2s MIUI 12 Update

Both the devices were launched in September 2017, and March 2018 respectively.  The differences between both the devices exist only in cameras, and the processor. Both of them have a 5.99-inch display with thin bezels all around, and it has its front camera placement to the bottom. Underneath, the Mi 2 it features the Snapdragon 835, and it gets a single rear camera i.e. 12MP sensor. While the Mix 2s features the Snapdragon 845 SoC and has a dual rear camera setup comprising of 12MP main + 12MP telephoto sensor. Upfront, both of them have the same 5MP sensor. Further, it has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and is backed by a 34,00mAh battery. Mix 2/Mix 2s was launched with MIUI 7 on top of Android 7.1 Nougat. It was later upgraded to MIUI 10 on top of Android 8.

Redmi K20 Pro MIUI 12 Update

Redmi K20 Pro MIUI 12 UpdateIt was the first flagship device from Xiaomi under the “Redmi” branding and was launched in July 2019. The device came with a full-screen display without any notches and was powered by Snapdragon 855+. When launched it was running on MIUI 11 on top of Android 9 and was later upgradable to Android 10. It is globally known as Mi 9T Pro i.e. in the European markets. The phone gets a pop-up unit with a 20MP sensor. It also gets a triple camera including 48MP IMX 586 sensor, 8MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor. The MIUI 12 update for the device is started rolling out via OTA.

Redmi K20 MIUI 12 Update

Redmi K20 MIUI 12 UpdateIt is a trimmed-down version of the Redmi K20 Pro and was launched alongside it. The device gets Snapdragon 730 instead of the flagship Snapdragon 855+ chipset. Like the K20 Pro it was launched with Android 9, and later was updated to Android 10. It gets the same sensor as the Pro version. But “Redmi” uses IMX 582 instead of 586 since Snapdragon 730 isn’t capable of recording 4K videos @ 60fps. Like, the “Pro” variant the MIUI 12 stable update is rolling out now.

Redmi Note 9 Pro/Redmi Note 9 Pro Max MIUI 12 Update

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max MIUI 12 UpdateIt is the latest mid-range devices from the Redmi branding which was launched in March 2020 with MIUI 11 on top of Android 11. Both the device sports the Snapdragon 720G SoC, and also gets support India’s own NaviC navigation system. The differences between both lie in front camera, rear primary sensor, and charging speeds. The Pro variant gets 48MP primary sensor, 16MP front camera & 18W fast charging, while the Pro Max gets 64MP primary sensor, 32MP front camera & 33W fast charging tech. The common specifications include 6.67-inch LCD panel with punch-hole, 5020mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The MIUI 12 update will reach the devices soon.

Redmi Note 9 MIUI 12 Update

It is the non-pro version which was launched first in the European markets on April 30, 2020. Underneath, it gets the MediaTek Helio G85 with 3/4GB of RAM, & 64/128GB of storage. It flaunts a 6.53-inch LCD display, and it has a 13MP sensor in the punch-hole. The rear camera setup includes a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and two 2MP sensors. It gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and packs a 5020mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The device runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 out of the box. The MIUI 12 update will bring all the cool features to the device.

Redmi Note 8 Pro MIUI 12 Update

Redmi Note 8 Pro MIUI 12 UpdateIt was launched globally on August 29, 2019, in the Indian market. It was the first device in India to sport the 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor. The device came with the powerful Helio G90T that runs on MIUI 11 on top of Android 9. The Android 10 update for the device has been rolling out in many countries but doesn’t arrive in India. The MIUI 12 update will soon reach the device with a whole lot changes.

Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12 Update

Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12 UpdateThe first “Note” series device to feature a quad-camera setup was launched on August 29, 2019. The device was running on MIUI 11 on top of Android 9Pie. It came with the Snapdragon 665 SoC, and a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor along with 8MP ultra-wide, and two 2MP sensors. Upfront, it gets a 13MP sensor and 6.3-inches LCD display which is backed by 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Redmi Note 7 Pro MIUI 12 Update

Redmi Note 7 Pro MIUI 12 UpdateThis was the 48MP device in the Indian market which was launched in February 2019. It came with the powerful mid-range chipset i.e. the Snapdragon 675 SoC. It’d a 6.3-inch IPS display and a 13MP front camera. The main 48MP Sony IMX 586 was assisted by a 5MP depth sensor. Further, it packs a 4,000mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Like other devices, it was also launched with MIUI 10 on top on Android 9 Pie. It was later updated into MIUI 11 with a lot of changes. We don’t have the exact time when Xiaomi will release the update.

Redmi Note 7/7s MIUI 12 Update

Redmi Note 7 MIUI 12 UpdateThere aren’t any major differences between both the devices except the rear primary camera. Both the devices were launched with MIUI 10 on top of Android 9. They also got the MIUI 11 update, but those were not smooth. It had a 6.3-inch LCD screen with a dewdrop notch and a 13MP selfie unit. For the Note 7s, it gets a 48MP + 5MP setup, while the Note 7 gets 12MP + 2MP setup. The MIUI 12 update may fix all the issues caused by the MIUI 11 update.

Redmi 8 MIUI 12 Update

Redmi 8 MIUI 12 UpdateThe budget device was launched on October 2019 with MIUI 11 on top of Android 9 Pie. Underneath, it has the Snapdragon 439 with 3/4GB of RAM, and 32/64GB variant. It also gets a dual-camera setup with 12 + 2MP setup. It has a 6.22-inch display with a dewdrop style notch which has the 8MP front camera. All this is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging. As of now, there is no hint when Xiaomi will push the new update.

Redmi 7 MIUI 12 Update

Redmi 7 MIUI 12 UpdateThe budget device from Redmi which was launched on March 18, 2019, was running on Android 9 Pie on top of MIUI 10. It was later upgradable to MIUI 11, and a few days before the brand has released Android 10 update on top of MIUI 11 for the device. The device sports a 6.26-inch IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch which contains the 8MP front camera. Underneath, it was powered by Snapdragon 632 with 2/3/4GB of RAM & 16/3264GB of storage. It’d a dual rear camera setup comprising of 12MP main sensor and another 2MP depth sensor.  Finally, it had a 4,000mAh battery, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The MIUI 12 update for the device will be late as Xiaomi recently pushed MIUI 11 based Android 10 update.

POCO Devices

POCO F2 Pro MIUI 12 Update

POCO F2 Pro was a Europe exclusive. And it is a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro which was launched earlier in China.

The phone comes with a 6.67 inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, and it is powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC. The phone comes with a 64MP quad camera setup. The primary camera being Sony IMX686 64MP sensor, the secondary cameras being a 13MP ultra wide camera, 5MP telephoto macro and a 2MP depth sensor.

The phone is confirmed to get MIUI 12 update, and it is first in line to get the update from POCO.

POCO X2 MIUI 12 Update

POCO X2 marked the come back of POCO after a long break.

The phone comes with a 6.67 inch Full HD+ dual punch hole display with 120Hz screen refresh rate. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 730G. And the phone comes with a 64MP quad camera, the primary camera being Sony IMX686 64MP sensor. The secondary cameras are an 8MP ultra wide camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The front cameras are a 20MP primary selfie camera and 2MP depth sensor.

The phone is very much popular in India, and it is the first in line to get MIUI 12 update.

POCO M2 Pro MIUI 12 Update

POCO M2 Pro is the latest phone from POCO for India. It is basically a very close relative of Redmi Note 9 Pro which was already mentioned above.

The phone comes with a 6.67 inch Full HD+ display with a punch hole on the middle. It is powered by Snapdragon 720G chipset. It comes with a quad camera setup, with a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor as the primary sensor, an 8MP ultra wide camera, 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. It is having a 16MP camera in the front. The phone is backed up by a 5000mAh battery and coupled with 33W charger in box.

The phone will be getting MIUI 12 update soon, but we expected the phone to be launched with MIUI 12 as it’s a relatively new phone.

POCO F1 MIUI 12 Update

The legend, POCO F1 is still going strong!

POCO F1 comes with a 6.18 inch Full HD+ LCD display, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC. It comes with a dual camera setup consisting of a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor as the primary, and a secondary 5MP depth sensor. The phone is powered by 4000mAh battery and 18W fast charging.

The phone is confirmed to get POCO F1 MIUI 12 update, but the estimated date is not mentioned officially.
