Xiaomi‘s new phablet i.e. the Mi Max 3 was scheduled to launch later this July, as announced earlier by the CEO. Previous leaks including the recently leaked poster already revealed a lot of details about the device, including the specifications and pricing. Now, an image showcasing the retail box of the unreleased Mi Max 3 has surfaced online.
The image was posted by Xiaomi’s CEO Mr Lei Jun on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The retail packaging of Mi Max 3 looks quite minimal. The box comes with Mi branding on the top right corner, and Max 3 is mentioned at the lower bottom. The model name can also be seen on the visible right side of the box.
Unfortunately, we cannot see any images of the device at the front. No other key specs are visible as well and are suspected to be printed at the back.
Earlier today, we also witnessed the leaked images of the display assembly of the Mi Max 3. The images reveal front panel and the internal circuitry of the same. The display seems to be an 18:9 panel with narrow bezels on sides. Given the fact that there is no notch, upper bezel houses the front camera and sensors, and a bottom chin is present as well.
Coming to the specifications of the device as per the recent TENAA listing, the Mi Max 3 is expected to come with a 6.99-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ (1080 x 2160) resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. While the base variant is said to be powered by Snapdragon 636 SoC, we might see a higher variant with more powerful Snapdragon 710 SoC as well.
The device will pack 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. In the optics departments, it will sport an AI-powered rear dual-camera setup, featuring a 12-megapixel Sony IMX 363 as its primary shooter. An 8-megapixel shooter is given at the front for selfies, aided by AI-based Face Unlock. The device is backed by a large 5,500mAh battery coupled with QuickCharge 3.0. Dual front-firing speakers are what we look forward to. The fingerprint scanner, as usual, sits at the back.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the leaked poster indicates that the Mi Max 3 starts at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 17,700). The device is expected to come to India along with the Redmi 6 Pro, within next two months. As of now, we look forward to the launch event scheduled later this July. Till then, stay tuned.
Leaked Honor 10 Lite TV Commercial reveals front and rear design
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is all set to unveil the new Honor 10 Lite smartphone on November 21st, making it less than a week far from the official launch. Earlier, we saw the device and its specs on TENAA, and now the phone is spotted in its first TV Commercial, revealing the front and rear design.
According to the commercial, the upcoming Honor 10 Lite sports a water drop notch at the front and a vertically stacked pair of segregated cameras at the back, summing up for a design reminiscent to the recently launched Honor 8X Max. The phone is advertised with “no gradient means no youth” quote, and hence it bears a glossy glass back with gradient colour options including a blue-white gradient along with a “Passionate Red” version.
The device shown in advertisement lacks any branding on the back and has a clean look which we think won’t be the case with the retail version. Moreover, the fingerprint scanner is given at the median and the power, as well as volume buttons, are placed on the right frame.
You can have a look at the video below:
As for the specs, the previous leaks including the TENAA listing suggested that this Honor 9 Lite successor will come with a 6.21-inch IPS LCD panel having a Full-HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the Honor 10 Lite will be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710/659 along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (more variants expected) which can also be expanded up to 256GB using the given Micro SDcard slot. Furthermore, it will pack in dual 13+2MP Rear cameras and a 24MP Front Camera. Both the shooters will incorporate nifty AI features, as seen on previous Huawei/Honor phones.
On the software front, it will run EMUI 9.0 and will be backed by a 3,200mAh battery with lack of any fast charging support. Lastly, the phone will weigh 162 grams and will have a 154.7 x 73.6 x 8 mm body.
Not to forget, the device was also spotted in a special “Supreme Edition” with red colour and Sup branding at the back, hinting at Honor’s partnership with the famous American Clothing brand Supreme, following the same, the company may also launch this limited edition phone later at a higher price. That being said, let’s wait for the phone to land in Beijing on 21st of November. Till then, stay tuned.
