Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi will be launching its latest iterations for its flagship devices, the Mi 9 and the Mi Mix 4 in 2019. It is too early for the leaks and specification rumors right now but it seems like the rumor mill has started churning up information regarding the specifications and design language to be used in these devices.
Recent leaks from GF Securities of Hong Kong claims that the Xiaomi MI 9 and the Mi Mix 4 will sport triple cameras on the rears. In addition to it, they will sport periscope lens which will offer more optical zoom without occupying more physical space. The company has no word regarding the display modules which are going to be utilized on these devices.
More and more brands are adopting the periscope design in their cameras for better efficiency. There are rumors that the Mi Mix 4 will feature a foldable display, but nothing is confirmed as of now. The processor which will be seen on both the devices will be with no doubt, Qualcomm’s latest offering, the Snapdragon 855 chipset which will enable 5G capabilities to these devices. The first 5G device from Xiaomi although will be the Xiaomi Mi Mi 3 5G.
A rough idea of how the Mi 9 might actually look is visualized by a concept design by Benjamin Geskin as seen below. The actual product may vary in terms of design but this would give a brief idea regarding the device as of now. Take a look at the image below.
The handset is expected to feature 6.4” AMOLED Display with 6/8/10 GB RAM variants, triple rear cameras of which the primary sensor is rumored to be a 48 MP Sony IMX586.
