Finally we are at that point of time where the company has officially announced it, yes I am talking about Xiaomi‘s next flagship Mi 8. Today the company has officially sent out the invites for the launch of Mi 8 which is on 31st of this month. This launch event has been scheduled in Shenzhen, China. Not just the Mi 8, but there are also other devices which the company has been planning to launch.
There is not much information regarding the launch event, but the show stealer has to be the Mi 8 which is being launched as an Xiaomi’s 8th Year Anniversary device. Now talking about this Anniversary special edition device, this device sports a 6.01 inch display which comes with a top notch, and also an in-display fingerprint scanner. Not just this, but also the Mi 8 could turn out to be the first ever Android smartphone to come with advanced 3D facial recognition technology, just like the one on the iPhone X but with some advanced features.
This device is powered by the Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor and is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There will also be an second variant of this device which will be coming with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The specifications of the camera are not yet revealed but we are expecting both the cameras to come with AI capabilities. Regarding the pricing (which was leaked earlier), the 6GB RAM variant might be priced around Rs.30,000 and the 8GB RAM variant will be priced around Rs.36,000.
