Mi 8 and 8 SE pre-order Poster Leaked One Day before Launch

Published

on

Let’s admit it, we’re all waiting for the Mi 8 launch at Shenzhen in China, tomorrow. Xiaomi is going through one heck of a time, having a significant share in global shipping figures. Having said so, it must also be pointed out that a launch of Mi 8 in India is imminent.

We’ve all gone through this. There are always last-minute leaks before a launch. This time is no different, and we’re here with a Mi 8 leak.

The pre-order poster is leaked, featuring the Mi 8 and it’s smaller brother- the Mi 8 SE together. As you can see, both handsets feature a notch AND some additional bezels, which must be the next trend. This is slightly mind boggling since the notch was invented to keep out bezels.

So what’s special ? The notch is a bit bigger than what we’ve seen in Android handsets till now. This must mean that Xiaomi is bringing out some sort of FaceID to the Mi 8, not to mention the Animoji clone.

Mi 8 pre-orders are reported to start tomorrow itself, with sales will start from June 5, at 10AM in China. Speaking of the smaller Mi 8 SE, it seems that it will not have any pre orders and will directly go on sale from June 8. It must be pretty obvious that the SE is designed to be a budget friendly variant of the Mi 8.

Rumors have been circulating that the Mi 8 will have the Snapdragon 845 SoC, which seems to be an obvious choice. However, what’s new is that the Mi 8 SE could actually feature the Snapdragon 710, which belongs to the brand new 700-series family with focus on AI. That’s pretty impressive.

According to the latest images we’ve seen, we’re not sure if the Mi 8 will have an in-display fingerprint scanner. However, there could be one in the upcoming Mi 8 Plus (if that is the model).

The pricing of the phones still remain unknown. However, we’re speculating that the Mi 8 SE might be priced around 2000-2500Yuan, which is about 21,000-27,000 Indian rupees. We’re betting that the Mi 8 will cost a lot more.

Tomorrow’s launch will not only show off the above mentioned phones, but also the most awaited Mi Band 3 and MiUI 10!

Google Pixel 3 Lite & Pixel 3 Lite XL CAD Renders Revealed!

Published

on

While the Google Pixel handsets have been hailed as best camera phones one can buy, the tech Giant has taken the feedback seriously as it plans to offer its best camera at Nexus-level pricing. The Pixel 3 Lite is said to be an affordable variant of the Pixel 3 and has been subjected to a couple of leaks before.

However, another tipster Onleaks claimed that there will be another larger model to be called as Pixel 3 Lite XL. Today, with collaboration with 91mobiles, he released first 5K renders and a 360-video of the smartphones confirming previous renders.

The Pixel 3 Lite and the Pixel 3 Lite XL seems to have a similar design as its parent Pixel 3 duo but have their differences as well. There is no notched display on either of them and it seems they have slight bezels on the side and top along with a chin at the bottom. Unlike the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, there will be only one speaker which will double up as an earpiece. Ditching the dual selfie camera design, the Pixel 3 Lite and its brother will get a single selfie snapper. There is also a 3.5 mm headphone jack on both the smartphones which aren’t available on the Pixel 3 duo.

Both the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL carry the volume rocker and the power button on the right side and an ejectable SIM on the left side. The lower side houses a USB Type-C port paired with speaker grills. On the rear, they both sport a single camera with a camera bump coupled with dual tone LED flash, a circular fingerprint sensor and a Google logo below. Like their flagship siblings, the upcoming smartphones will be available in black and white hues with a green neon power button on the white color option. The Pixel 3 Lite XL also seems to sport a polycarbonate construction instead of a glass one.

As for its specs, the Pixel 3 Lite will come with a 5.5 inch 18:5:9 display while the Pixel 3 Lite XL will feature a 6 inch 18:5:9 display . Both the devices measure 8.2 mm in thickness which increases to 9 mm when the rear camera bump is included. The Pixel 3 Lite measures 151.3 x 70.1 mm while the XL measures 160 x 76.1mm.

The earlier codenamed Sargo is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage while offering a 12MP rear and 8MP front camera. It will run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and will be backed by a 2,915 mAh battery. The elder sibling is expected to carry similar specs though it is rumored to house a Snapdragon 710 under the hood. As for now, Google is yet to give an official word on the price or the launch date of the smartphones.

A few days ago, we witnessed the Sony Xperia XZ4‘s CAD render leaks which revealed the presence of the triple camera setup on the device. Now we have got some information regarding the Compact version of the XZ4 lineup, the Sony Xperia XZ4 Compact.

The major visual difference you will notice immediately is the difference in the screen size and the bezels. The Sony Xperia XZ4 features a modern design with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 6-inch display, while the brand has equipped the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact with a 5-inch screen and noticeable bezels. The device measures 139.9 x 66.5 x 9.3 mm according to the renders.Sony-Xperia-XZ4-Compact-3

The bottom bezel holds the Sony logo. The side bezels are very much noticeable, unlike the regular variant. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side of the device as usual. There is a single rear camera on the device while the regular Sony Xperia XZ4 features triple cameras.  An LED flash is mounted to the right of the rear camera.

There is a single front-facing camera on the device. The Xperia XZ4 Compact will retain the 3.5 mm headphone jack which was absent on the Xperia XZ4 renders. This is a welcome move as the number of people depending on wired audio devices is still more and having a headphone jack on the device is a positive gesture considering the compact nature of the device.

The leaked CAD renders have also been made into a 3D render based on the dimensions. Check out the 3D render video below.
