After a lot of leaks and rumors, finally, Xiaomi has launched the Mi 6X officially in China. The phone looks just like the one we saw in the first hands on image that was leaked (also the tons of leaks that followed it!).
The Mi 6X features a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2160 x 1080. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 with Adreno 512 GPU clocked at 2.2 GHz. The phone comes in 3 variants, one with 4GB RAM & the other two with 6GB RAM. The 4GB RAM is coupled with 64GB internal storage which the 6GB RAM variant comes with either 64GB & 128GB internal storages.
In terms of optics, the phone has a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of two camera sensors- a 20MP sensor (Sony IMX376 CMOS sensor) with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 12MP lens (Sony IMX 486) with f/1.8 aperture. On the front, there is a 20MP (Sony IMX376) front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture). It also comes with a front selfie light like recent Redmi models.
The camera also supports AI scene detection much like the one in Mi Mix 2s, and can recognise upto 206 scene modes.
The phone comes with XiaoAI out of the box, just like Mi Mix 2s, which is Xiaomi’s new Chinese AI assistant. The Mi 6X runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MIUI 9 on top and packs a 3010mAh battery, it also supports Quick Charge 3.0 out of the box.
In terms of connectivity, the Mi 6X comes with Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, a USB Type-C port. The phone supports dual SIM cards and a microSD card for memory expansion via a hybrid tray.
The 4/64GB variant is priced at 1599 Yuan (almost 17K), the 6/64GB variant is priced at 1799 Yuan (almost 19K) and the 6/128GB variant is available at 1999 Yuan (almost 19K).
