LG V50 ThinQ Unveiled, Comes With 5G Support & Dual Screen Add-On!

LG launched its latest flagships, the LG G8 ThinQ, and the LG V50 ThinQ at MWC 2019 held in Barcelona today. Both the devices pack impressive specifications out of the box and offers users with a handful of features.

The LG V50 ThinQ will be the first-ever LG device to come with support for 5G connectivity. The LG G8 ThinQ is a significant improvement over the last year’s G series counterpart whereas the V50 is an improved LG V40 ThinQ

The brand has managed to upgrade the hardware over the same footprint as the LG V40 ThinQ. It comes with a 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with Snapdragon X50 modem. There will be 6 GB of RAM coupled with 128 GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 2TB with the help of a microSD card.

As far as the cameras are concerned, it still retains the five cameras setup. On the rear, there is a standard 12 MP lens with f/1.5 aperture and 78.7° field-of-view. The second lens is a 16 MP one with  f/1.9 aperture and 107.8° field-of-view. The last sensor is a 12 MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and 47.2° field-of-view. On the front, there is an 8 MP f/1.9 aperture lens with 80° field-of-view coupled with 5 MP lens with f/2.2 aperture and 90° field-of-view.

It retains the headphone jack and features LG’s 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, DTS:X 3D Surround Sound. The handset is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It will be available in Astro Black color variant.

There is a second screen case coming with the device which essentially adds a second screen to the phone. It lets the user split the contents or share gameplay with another player.
