lg v30

As LG postponed their G7 Launch and instead launched another V30 at the MWC, tensions were rising up and many of the LG G Series fans thought that LG is killing the series forever, but recently LG disclosed that they will be launching the new LG G7 ThinQ on May 2nd. Along with that, the existence of the LG V35 came to limelight. The LG V35 was already announced in Japan as a variant of the LG V30. But, Android Headlines has just now confirmed that the next V Series phone from LG will definitely be the LG V35 ThinQ.

Android Headlines doesn’t clearly mention anything particular about the source but mentions that the information has been provided by a reliable source. The popular Android-focused blog also revealed the official specifications of the LG V45 ThinQ.

The LG V35 ThinQ will feature a 6-inch QHD+ OLED display. Android Headlines claims that it will be a ‘FullVision’ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio along with an 80-percent screen-to-body ratio. However, there is no clue about adding a notch on top. So, the LG V35 ThinQ may look a bit different from the LG G7. However, LG has emphasized on one-handed use of the device with an edge-to-edge design.

In terms of camera, LG V35 ThinQ will sport a dual rear camera setup. There will be two 16-megapixel rear cameras on the back and Android Headlines claims that it will be same as the LG G7 ThinQ mentioning that one 16-megapixel ‘standard’ camera with a glass lens, f/1.6 aperture and 10-bit HDR compatibility paired with a secondary camera with a 16-megapixel sensor and a wide-angle lens with a 107-degree field-of-view.

ThinQ is LG’s approach to AI and their own ecosystem, and hence the LG V35 ThinQ will offer ‘AI Cam’ and ‘Google Lens Support’ at launch. It will also make use of a Super Bright Mode and ‘superpixels’ to ensure bright image output with lots of detail, even in extreme low-light conditions. LG will specifically concentrate on general voice assistant features, the camera, or any other department and implement AI in those fields.

Audio has been a big deal for LG V Series smartphones and with the V35 ThinQ, we will find a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC utilizing an ESS Sabre 9228. Additional customization options and digital filters will be provided to users to fine-tune the sound. Far-field voice recognition will also mark its presence on the LG V35 which will make the phone be able to hear the user from a distance of up to seventeen feet or around 5 meters away.

So, basically, LG V45 ThinQ will be pretty close to the LG G7 in terms of raw specs but will come with a big and tall display, AI capabilities, dual 16MP cameras on the back. The phone will be available in two color options- Black and Grey.

POCO F1 launch

Xiaomi‘s sub-brand POCO launched the Poco F1 last year in August and was a massive success ranking in million of sales. The Poco F2 was spotted a few months back but that turned out to be fake. Now, new reports indicate the Chinese manufacturer could launch a new budget friendly smartphone in the Pocophone line-up called the Poco F1 Lite.

Poco F1 lite

The Pocophone F1 Lite was spotted in benchmarking site GeekBench. The website revealed the smartphone to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 paired with 4GB RAM. It runs on the latest Android 9 Pie with likely MIUI on top. On the performance front, the Poco F1 managed to score 1341 and 4830 points on the single and multi-core test.

From another report, an unknown Xiaomi device with codename URANUS appeared on GeekBench database. Since, it has the same specifications, it is speculated that the Uranus is the Poco F1 Lite. Very few information is available about the Poco F1 Lite at this moment but it looks like it will be placed in the mid-range segment. Competition will be fierce as the recently launched Redmi Note 7 Pro and Samsung M30 provides some impressive specs.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 48MP primary rear camera which captures impressive details because of its large sensor. On the other hand, the Samsung M30 provides a triple camera setup along with an AMOLED display on front. It will be hard for the Poco F1 Lite to outshine these competitors. That being said, the Poco F1 has a generated a good fan following providing specs like SD 855 and 6GB RAM at an affordable cost.

As of now, the company hasn’t released any official launch dates but it should be around the corner based on these appearances.
