LG launched LG G8X Thinq in India; the successor to LG G8 Thinq and LG G8S Thinq. The LG G8X Thinq was originally launched in IFA which took back in September 2019. The device comes with 2 screen which are attached using hinges. You can easily remove the second screen if you’re not interested. Earlier we had reported the renders of the device hinting it’s launch in IFA.
The LG G8X Thinq spots a 6.8 inch FHD+ OLED FullVision waterdrop notch display. It has a ppi of 403 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It has an in-Display fingerprint sensor. The device has a second screen of smaller display of 2.1 inch monochromatic display in the front that displays information’s like date, time, battery life and other notifications. This Dual Screen connects to the phone via the USB Type-C port. This mechanism allows the users to use the phone at 360 degree freestop hinge. The LG G8X Thinq is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor which is coupled with Adreno and is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space. The storage space can be expanded further via a microSD card which supports upto 2TB.
Talking about the optics, the LG G8X Thinq has a dual rear camera setup. It has a primary 12MP sensor with an aperture value of f/1.8 and a 13MP with an aperture value of f/2.4 super-wide angle lens. To the front the phone has a 32MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture value. LG always used to bring a ton of software features in camera, and this time too they’ve brought many things in LG G8X Thinq. AI Action Shot helps speed up the shutter speed up to 1/480s to capture fast-moving objections. Additionally, the camera comes with a Reflected Mode which makes it easier to take portrait shots in extreme low-light conditions.
The device runs on Android 9 out of the box. The device is paired with 4,000mAh battery and it supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology which charges via type c port. It has NFC on board, boombox speaker, Hi-Fi Quad DAC, DTS:X 3D and HDR 10 for enhanced audio and video performance; the usual things on a LG flagship. The device is protected by IP68 dust and water resistant technology. Like all of LG’s other flagship phones, it is MIL-STD 810G compliant.It comes only in a single Aurora Black colour. The device is priced at ₹ 49,999 and will be available from December 21.
