With timely leaks every now and then, there’s not much left to know about LG‘s newest flagship, the LG G7 ThinQ. Less than a week ago, The LG G7 ThinQ was certified in Russia by the EEC ( European Economic Commission). Now, the flagship from LG finally surfaced on Geekbench revealing it’s key specifications. The benchmark listing confirmed the key specs of the smartphone. Take a look at the Geekbench listing:
The latest revelations came after LG confirmed the presence of a 6.1 inch QHD+ (1440 x 3120 pixles) LCD panel with 1000 nits of brightness and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. The device is expected to come with a iPhone like notch and a second screen which debuted on LG V20 back in 2016.
As per the Geekbench listing, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC octa core processor with a base frequency of 1.7Ghz coupled with 4GB of RAM, which is quite a surprise considering the fact that most flagships these days coming with 6GB RAM and some even going up to 8GB of RAM. On the software end, the device is expected to run on Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box with essential performance tuning by the manufacturer.
Despite coming with a low RAM, the LG G7 ThinQ performed on par with the Samsung’s latest flagship- Galaxy S9. It managed a score of 2312 in single core and 8979 in multi score. But that’s as far as benchmarks go, real world performance is all that matters.
For now, let’s wait and see what LG has to offer. In the meantime, LG also made headlines with LG Q7, the successor to the highly successful Q6. The smartphone was recently spotted on the FCC’s official site with couple of screenshots which hinted that the phone could come with an 18:9 aspect ratio display. LG is expected to launch the Q7 along with their flagship G7 ThinQ.
