The IFA Berlin is soon going to start from August 31 which is one of the world’s leading trade event for showcasing consumer electronics, home appliances and other technology applications. Just a few days ahead of the event, the Korean Giant LG has already announced that it is going to unveil the new LG G7 One and the LG G7 Fit at the conference. Additionally, the company has also revealed the device specifications and features of both the smartphones.

As the name suggests, the LG G7 One is the companies first Android One phone while the LG G7 Fit follows up on the LG G7 and uses a older generation SoC, aimed at a more affordable market. Basically both the phones internally are just the normal LG G7 Thinq but with a different SoC. Let’s have a look at the detailed specs of both the smartphones.

LG G7 OneLG G7 One

The LG G7 One is the first in the G series to adopt the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC due to the fact that they used the dated Snapdragon 821 with the G6 and G7 ThinQ came with Snapdragon 845, making the G7 One undercut the G7 ThinQ. The device comes with a glass sandwich design built on MIL-STD 810G standards along with the IP68 dust & water resistance.

Talking of the specifications, new G7 One comes with a 6.1-inch Quad HD+ FullVision panel with a notch on top and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 along with a small chin at bottom.

The device packs 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of on-board storage with further expansion up to 512 GB using MicroSD Card.

For photography, the back houses a single 16-megapixel shooter with f/1.6 aperture. While at the front, we have an 8-megapixel shooter with f/1.9 aperture and 80-degree field of view.

Moreover, being the device inherits most of the traditional LG flagship features including the Quad DAC, DTS:X, and the IP68 and Military grade build as discussed above.

Powering the phone is a 3,000 mAh battery that supports QuickCharge 3.0. On the software front, it boots Stock Android 8.1 Oreo under the Android One program hinting the Android Pie arrival soon.

LG G7 FitLG G7 Fit

The LG G7 Fit seems to even undercut the G7 One due a slightly dated Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset while retaining other premium features from flagships.

The G7 Fit too comes with a 6.10-inch FullVision panel with a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and a Notch on top, similar to the G7 One.

It packs 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of on-board storage while there is one more variant with 64 GB internal storage and is said to be reserved for some regions. Both the variants have a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 2 TB.

Furthermore, the device draws its juice from a 3,000mAh battery. It runs on LG’s own custom UI and retains the Quad DAC, water and dust proofing from its sibling. It measures 153.20 x 71.90 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) and weighs just 160 grams.

The LG G7 One will be available in New Moroccan Blue and New Aurora Black colors, while the LG G7 Fit will be sold in New Aurora Black and New Platinum Gray color options. The pricing and availability of the devices are yet to be known and will be revealed by the company later this week during IFA. Till then, stay tuned.

Vivo Nex Dual Display Launched in China. Dual Display & 10GB RAM!

Vivo finally launched the most awaited successor of the Vivo NEX. However, it is named as Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition and not Vivo NEX 2 as expected. The device’s USP is its dual displays which is completely different to the ones found in Yotaphone and Meizu Pro 7. Also another spectacular feature of the smartphone is its 3D TOF stereo camera.

Unlike its predecessor, the Vivo Nex Dual Edition doesn’t have a pop-up selfie camera.  The presence of the secondary display eliminates the need of the selfie camera. However, it doesn’t mean that the Chinese manufacturer have given up on that design style and we may see another model in first half of 2019 with pop-up camera design.

As for the specs, the primary display is a 6.39 inch Super AMOLED bezel-less screen with a resolution of HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. It is almost devoid of bezels and comes with a high screen-to-body ratio of 91.63%. The secondary display is of 5.49 inch and is of Super AMOLED quality. It has a resolution of FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 16:9. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 10GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Vivo Introduces Futuristic Dual Display Smartphone for “NEX-Level” Multifaceted Experience

The device sports a triple camera setup with a primary 12MP camera with f/1.79 aperture and OIS m a secondary 2MP “Night Video” with f/1.8.The third one is a 3D TOF (time of flight) which will be mainly used for advanced Face Unlock feature. However, it’s not limited to that and offers features like personalized beautification, 3D face modelling.

With the help of secondary display the cameras offer features like Mirror Mode and Pose Director The two main sensors are circled by a LED “Lunar ring” while the LED flash is placed on the extreme left. The ring light illuminates in camera ticking, gameplay, and couple of other occasions.

The handset runs on FunTouch OS 4.5 based on Android 9.0 Pie and support from Vivo’s JOVI voice assistant. It comes with AI screen recognition, Body and Face Shaping.  It is backed by a 3,500 mAh battery with support for 2.25A 10V fast charging. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor embedded in the display.

The Vivo Nex Dual Edition is priced at 4,998 Yuan (Rs 52,000 approx) in Star Purple and Ice Field color variants. It will go on sale from December 29 and is up for pre-order in China via local retailers like Jingdong (JD.com), Tmall, Suning. The company has not given any word on the global release of the smartphone but we expect it to happen eventually.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Launched in India for Rs. 50,999!

OnePlus has been launching special editions for its flagship devices for a while now. We have witnessed the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition and the OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition in the past. Now the brand is all set to launch the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. The device has been unveiled yesterday at a global event held in the UK.

Today, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition in India at an event held in Mumbai. The company had been teasing the device with the tag “Salute to Speed”. They had recently announced the collaboration with British car brand McLaren and added that the collaboration with McLaren is a “long-term strategic partnership” which hints that more devices could be launched by the partnership of both the companies in the upcoming year.

The OnePlus McLaren Edition comes in a Papaya Orange colour which is also McLaren signature colour.  Underneath the glass deign at the rear we can see the McLaren carbon fibre design. It comes with a 10GB RAM and 256GB internal storage which is higher than the 8GB Thunder Purple variant that was launched recently.  With this launch, the smartphone also earns the title of world’s first smartphone to launch globally with 10 GB RAM. The device can handle multi-tasking with ease and shoot 4K videos at 60FPS without fuss.

The handset has an orange black theme and comes with the same 3,700 mAh battery but with a new Warp charge 30 technology which the company claims to offer a day’s power within 20 minutes of charge. The company integrated a new circuit in the charger as well as on the phone along with new power management software that ensures smooth power flow into the device without slowing down even while it is being used.

Additionally, there are new exclusive software animations and there new Warp Charge 30 power adapter is being painted on Papaya Orange instead of Red. The device comes with headphone dongle, a McLaren-branded case, a piece of actual carbon fibre that is encased in an acrylic block along with a hardcover book that highlights McLaren’s racing history.

Other specs of the smartphone remain the same as the OnePlus 6T regular variant featuring a 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display with a notch on top and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. It sports a dual rear camera setup of 20 MP + 16 MP and offers a single 16 MP camera at the front.

Coming to the most interesting aspect, the pricing of the device. The handset is priced at Rs. 49,999 making it the costliest OnePlus phone ever launched and will retail from next week(placeholder text).

OnePlus today launched the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition that it has been teasing for weeks with the tag “Salute to Speed”. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently announced its collaboration with British car brand McLaren announcement and added that the collaboration with McLaren is a “long-term strategic partnership” meaning there can be more number of McLarenxOnePlus handsets in the future.
