Great anticipation comes with great features. LG‘s next flagship, the LG G7 ThinQ is no different with new leaks surfacing everyday. The latest leak suggesting that it will sport a notch much like the famed iPhone X. Evan Blass, a regular mobile tipster tweeted an image of the upcoming LG G7 ThinQ late on Monday that looks like a promotional render.
The picture gives a clear cut view of the front, revealing details such as the thin bezels, a large screen and a notch as mentioned above. What’s interesting here is the fact that 2018 is turning out to be the year of the notch as an increasing number of smartphones have used it this year to increase the screen’s real estate.
The LG G7 ThinQ has been certified in Russia by the EEC( European Economic Commission). Alongside the flagship, another LG phone received certification: the Q7. It’s predecessor Q6 was an affordable version of G6, hence the Q7 is expected to be a cheaper variant of the G7. Unfortunately, the ECC did not reveal much information regarding the two devices.
The only thing we know is that both of them will run on the latest version of Android i.e Oreo 8.1. The phone’s outer frame is made up thin shiny metal with a power key on the right side. As per the leaks, the LG G7 ThinQ is expected to come with a mega 6 inch display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and out of the box QHD+ resolution. Powering the phone is an Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.
The rear side of the G7 ThinQ sports a 16MP dual camera and f/1.5 aperture. LG have reworked the way images are processed, to maximize image quality on each of your selfies. Along with it, the camera is said to support scene recognition and other smart features from it’s all new AI engine.
There are also rumors also suggesting that the phone will come in two variants in terms of display, one with an OLED screen and the other with a LCD screen. But as of now, all rumors have been put to rest considering the fact that there’s still a significant amount of time left before release.
