Published

on

Lenovo will be unveiling its Lenovo Z6 Pro smartphone this month. The information was just a rumour until the company’s VP Chang Cheng confirmed it via a Weibo post. The phone is being teased for a while now with the recent Weibo post by Cheng indicating that it will be capable of producing 100 megapixel images.

Lenovo Z6 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 and will be a successor to the Lenovo Z5 Pro which houses a Snapdragon 710 SoC. The fans had to wait for the GT Edition to see a flagship level Qualcomm Chipset in a Lenovo smartphone.

Though the slider arrived with dual cameras, the upcoming device looks like to sport a single camera setup. However, the single camera may be for illustration purposes and there may be two additional snappers positioned below like we have seen on the Honor View 20. From earlier leaks, we know the Lenovo Z6 Pro will come with fancy HyperVision camera, Super Night View, Super Steady Shot and some kind of 100 MP images. The handset is also said to feature a 5G modem and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The retail box of the smartphone was revealed by the company earlier this week. Lenovo claims both the actual phone and the fancy package have been designed by the team behind the torch that carried the flame in 2008 Summer Olympics. The company said the box is design in a way to excite you above the smartphone on the inside which we now know will launch this month. As for the design of the retail box, it did look a little fancy with neat black and red elements.

Lenovo is yet to officially announce a launch date which we expect to arrive soon with a new teaser. Till then, keep tuned.

With two generations of Xiaomi’s Android One phones, they’re in the works of the next-gen phone which could be named as Mi A3. Usually, the A series follows the design and specifications of “MiX” series of devices. After a lot of rumours, they’d launched Xiaomi CC9 last month. The reports on the web suggest that Xiaomi will follow CC9 lineup for A3 & A3 Lite. Famous tipster @IshanAgarwal24 revealed that the Xiaomi Mi A3 {codenamed bamboo_sprout} will spot Snapdragon 730 SoC while the lower Mi A3 Lite {codenamed cosmos_sprout} will sport a Snapdragon 675 chipset.

Talking about the design, as mentioned earlier it may follow the CC9 line-up most probably. The A3 will spot a 6.39-inch FHD+ display while the A3 lite may spot a 6.01-inch FHD+ display. Both the devices will spot the battery size of 4,030mAh. It they follow the trend of CC9, it will spot a headphone jack. Thankfully Xiaomi will return a headphone jack here and usually, A series would have a smaller capacity battery, but this time they’d solved that issue too.

Ishaan has confirmed that information regarding chipset is confirmed and not likely to change. It the rumours are true, then the Mi A3 would be powerful than the Mi CC9 series and a key differentiator between them will be the processor. The MI CC9 comes with a Snapdragon 710 SoC while the Mi CC9e has a Snapdragon 665 SoC. We don’t have any information regarding the launch date of the devices. However, the brand is launching the Redmi K20 lineup on July 17. The launch of these devices would be in the later Q3/ first of Q4.

Xiaomi also started teasing the phone in their global social media accounts. Which could mean that the global debut of the phone is happening soon.

Realme is scheduled to launch its new smartphone the Realme X in India on July 15. The Chinese company will be launching another device called the Realme 3i and it is confirmed by none other than Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth. While Realme has not released any details about the smartphone, we do know that it will be a direct competitor to the Redmi 7. The Realme 3i has also made an appearance at the benchmarking site GeekBench, spilling the beans on its key specs.

From the GeekBench listing, the Realme 3i will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. The tested variant has 4GB RAM but there could be a 3GB RAM option too. It runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top. It managed a score of 1420 and 5070 points on the single-core and multi-core tests respectively.

The other camera specs and battery unit is yet to be revealed but the handset is speculated to come with a 64MP camera given that Realme had earlier confirmed to bring a 64MP smartphone in the country soon. It could sport a 6.2 inch HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The Realme 3i is likely to be backed by a 4230 mAh battery.

The device is basically a watered-down variant of the Realme 3 while the company touts the device as being the most ‘stylish champion’, big battery champion’, ‘display champion’ and ‘camera champion’. While the rumored specs look too good on a budget smartphone, we should wait till an official confirmation.

The price and other information are unknown but we don’t have to wait long as the launch is just a few days from now. Flipkart already has a landing page dedicated to the Realme 3i smartphone.

Google Pixel 4 XL CAD Renders Reveal Dual Rear Cameras & Unique Front Design

Published

on

Last month, we caught the first glimpse of the first credible renders of the upcoming Pixel 4. Now, the first credible renders of the Pixel 4 XL along with a 360-degree video has surfaced online. The renders are published by popular leaker @OnLeaks with collaboration with PriceBaba.

The previous Pixel 4 leaks were so bad that Google interfered to showcase its own official renders.  While we don’t expect the same to happen for the XL variant as we already have the official design and the renders just fill in a couple of blanks. From previous renders, Google confirmed the Pixel flagships to come with a square bulge that house the cameras. But the new renders suggest a different design assuming Google chooses this for the final product.

The renders reveal the Pixel 4 XL to ditch the notch design and instead go for a large forehead and a small chin that reminds us of the iPhone XS without the display notch. The chunky top bezels have a speaker grill and the dual cameras. Although the official specifications are not available, the front units could be a Time of Flight (ToF) that is rumored to be included in the Pixel 4 XL for a gesture control system. Also, it might be there to aid the biometric face unlock feature hinted in Android Q Beta.

The renders show no front-firing speaker or any other bottom speaker on the tiny chin. The device will sport a bottom-firing speaker with a USB Type-C port on the lower edge. The rear of the handset shows a square bump with a triple camera setup with one of the sensors rumored to be a 16MP telephoto zoom lens and other a ToF sensor. It also matches with the recently leaked real-life photos of the Pixel 4. There is no fingerprint scanner on sight which means the Google would include an in-screen fingerprint reader or one embedded on the power button.

The back of the phone will still be made of glass ensuring that wireless charging feature is retained.  The device reportedly measures 6.25 inch with OnLeaks claiming the measurements of the Pixel 4 XL to be 160.4 x 75.2 x 8.2 mm with an additional thickness of 9.3mm with the camera bump.

According to a Version release schedule timeline, the Google Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL will bb arriving on October 4 following a keynote. Google has a good history regarding leaks of Pixel phones, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see more in the coming weeks.
