Lenovo to Launch a phone with 4 Cameras Soon!

Published

on

The latest trend in the design of smartphones is increasing the number of rear-facing sensors. From dual rear cameras becoming mainstream after the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, we started to witness dual cameras as a standard feature in smartphones.

Huawei took it to the next level by unveiling its P20 Pro with triple rear camera setup. South Korean smartphone giant Samsung also recently unveiled the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) with triple rear cameras.

Now, smartphone maker Lenovo is planning to bring a new revolution in the tech industry by including a quad rear camera setup. Lenovo’s Vice President Chang Cheng has shared a poster of the quad cameras on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. The quad cameras closely resemble the recently spotted Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The LED flash is placed in the middle of the sensors.

From the poster, it is clear that the camera will definitely incorporate AI capabilities. Recently, we have seen the hands-on video of the Lenovo Z5 Pro which featured a full-screen display and slider camera. As nothing else is known about where these are used, we wish these cameras were present in the upcoming Lenovo Z5 Pro.

All the online appearances of the Lenovo Z5 Pro till date has only revealed the front side of the device. So it is probable that this quad camera setup might actually show up in the Z5 Pro.

If the Lenovo Z5 Pro actually features these quad cameras, it will be a huge hit in the market and will be received well in the market. The quad camera setup might actually turn out to be a standard feature in smartphones by the end of the upcoming year.

We’ll have to wait for Lenovo to make announcements and send out press invites for an event where they would launch the device. Stay tuned for updates and newer advancements regarding the specifications and other details of the smartphone.

The Huawei Nova 4, which was showcased two weeks ago ahead of its launch last dayhas been spotted on TENAA ahead of it’s launch, which is scheduled for December 17, a week after the launch of Honor View 20. Both the smartphones will be sharing the same camera hole design for the front camera.

From the images posted by TENAA, we can easily make-out the “48MP AI Camera” label on the Huawei Nova 4, which must be the same camera sensor from that of Honor View 20 which was showed off recently. It does come with a triple camera setup.

The full specifications of the Huawei Nova 4 are not yet revealed completely by TENAA. But it is highly speculated that the Nova 4 will be powered by a flagship Kirin 980 chipset, same as in the Honor View 10. It features a 6.41 inch display, which is expected to be an LCD display sourced from BOE. The whole device is backed by a huge 3,900mAh battery, as per the latest information from TENAA.

The rear triple cameras are mounted vertically at the left side, with the flash beneath it. From the images posted by TENAA, we can see that the fingerprint sensor on board the Nova 4 is placed in the rear. Also, the images reveals that the Nova 4 will be having thin bezels on all three sides except the bottom. Since the Nova 4 has completely ditched the notch with the camera hole design, it is expected to skimp the IR based face unlock system which is seen in most of the latest flagship devices.

While there is no official confirmation about the pricing of the Nova 4, it is expected to be around Rs. 35,000-40,000 in the Indian market. We will update further specifications of the Nova 4 once it is revealed by TENAA.
