Asus‘s Zenfones have weird names, if you don’t recall, the PC giant started naming their phones and adding numbers to it based on screen size and hence the first Zenfone was Zenfone 4. Later, this policy was changed to and numbers were put as per generations.
Neither that was consistent, now ASUS is ready for a big launch in India, at least, as per what the company said to media. ASUS is launching the all-new Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, which will be a mid-range phone packed with features to compete with Redmi Note 5 Pro and a few other phones.
This is the phone that was launched as Zenfone Max M1 in Russia, but with a different set of specs. As announced in the Big partnership reveal event by Flipkart earlier this week, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 636.
As the launch is just less than a day away, some photos of the devices has leaked.
This time, even we are confident that this is the Zenfone Max Pro M1 because Evan Blass posted some photos on Twitter and disclosed the specs. The new Zenfone Max Pro M1 has quite a different design from Zenfone 5, the upcoming phones from the same company.
The Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes with a metallic finish. There is a dual camera module, placed vertically and the fingerprint scanner, which is placed at its right place (Wink Wink… Samsung). Up in front, the display is covered in glass. The power button is placed on the right edge of the device, so the SIM card tray will surely be on the left.
Evan Blass revealed that that the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone will have dual SIM card slot along with a microSD slot. The full set of specifications of the phone have been leaked earlier too.
It is being said that the phone sports a 6-inch 18:9 display and will pack a huge 5000mAh battery. On the battery part, even we are convinced because the same phone launched as Zenfone Max Pro in Russia also had such a massive battery.
