HTC U12 Plus Launched! Comes with Quad Cameras & No Notch!
HTC has been always one to do something special with their phones- whether it’s the ‘Squeeze’ function or the all-glass body. The company has now launched its latest flagship with a lot of stuff that you guys out there will love. Let’s get on to the stuff.
Flaunting an elegant 6 inch QHD+ screen with the standard 18:9 aspect ratio, and a pretty glass finish, this little piece of hardware is bound to turn many heads. And if you were wondering, yes the phone looks exactly like the one we saw in the leaks earlier.
HTC hasn’t launched any U12 before the phone. The company has termed the reason as because they didn’t want to mislead people into thinking that there’d be a better plus version of the phone 6 months down the road.
The phone is IP-68 rated for Water and Dust resistance. Moreover, it comes with HTC’s well known Boom-sound speakers.
Also you’ll notice that the phone doesn’t come with a notch. Well done HTC.
Moving to the optics, the phone comes with a dual camera setup both at the front and rear. The rear setup has 12 Megapixel and 16 Megapixel sensors placed horizontally. The 12 Megapixel camera with an aperture of f/1.75 is supposed to handle low-light while the 16 MP sensor comes with 2x optical zooming. On the front, you get two 8 Megapixel sensors. Both have an aperture of f/2.0. While there’s OIS and EIS on the rear, the front cameras come with no such luxury. It pretty much means that you can shake your phone for no reason at all when taking photos with your rear cam.
Even though it comes with a Glass back, the HTC U12 Plus doesn’t come with Wireless Charging. However, it comes with a 3500 mAh battery which is sure to last you all day. Now lets jump to the performance department.
As expected, the U12 Plus comes with a Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6GB of RAM for the highest variant. The lower variant comes with 6GB of RAM and 64 GB of Storage at a price of 800 dollars. Or you can put some more money for buying the 128GB version. However, my money is on a microSD card.
