The US smartphone brand InFocus has launched their latest device, the InFocus A2, an entry level device in India. They have earlier launched the Vision 3 back in December, a budget device with dual cameras and an 18:8 display. The device is now followed by the A2, and has already been listed on the company’s official website.
The A2 features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. It flaunts a 2.5D curved glass, which is quiet a rare feature in this price segment. It is powered by a Spreadtrum SC9832 SoC which is clocked at 1.3GHz. It is accompanied by a Mali 400-MP2 GPU. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The internal storage can be further expanded upto 256GB via microSD card.
While the some of the similar priced devices from other manufacturers features a fingerprint sensor, the InFocus A2 misses out in it. In the camera department, we have a 5MP camera in the rear and a similar 5MP camera in the front for taking selfies and making video calls. The camera is not something that is to be boasted of. The rear camera comes with an LED flash.
The InFocus A2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box layered with a customized 360UI made by the company. It also comes prepacked with the manufacturers own Black Tech apps for enhanced security in the device. It is powered by a 2600mAh battery,
The InFocus A2 will be available in two colors, Black and Champagne Gold. The device is priced at Rs. 5,199 and comes bundled with 30GB of free data from Reliance Jio and an additional cashback of Rs300 if paid through Mobikwik wallet, in the form of Mobikwik super-cash as part of the launch offer.
