Huawei has started seeing some bad days in the mobile phone industry. They are being slowly pushed out of the US Market. Not only has Huawei lost a deal with AT&T, but a new bill has also been proposed in the US, all of which lead to losing hope for Huawei in the US. However, now that the P20 and P20 Pro are announced, we are keeping our ears open. Now, we’ve an interesting news for Huawei fans in India,
Huawei is teasing a new phone for India on their Indian website saying “Coming Soon in India“. You can see that in the featured image of this post. And Since the P20 and P20 Pro had been announced earlier, we do expect the duo to be launched here. Take a look at the tease here.
We’ve also heard the rumour about a possible launch of Huawei P20 Pro & P20 in India earlier today, now this is an official confirmation for the India launch of Huawei P20 Pro & P20.
It has been two years since Huawei has launched any phone in India, the last one being P9. We definitely expect a full-on comeback in India by Huawei. They’ve been launching a plethora of budget models under the Honor sub-brand, and it is also worth noting that the brand has completely changed its focus to Honor for the past few years as the last phone from Huawei for Indian market was Huawei P9.
Talking about the phone, The Huawei P20 Pro sports triple cameras at the back, which might have helped it to score the highest ever DxOMark score ever, a whopping 109. It has beaten even the likes of Samsung S9+ and Mi Mix 2S. It features a 6.1 inch OLED Display, with an aspect ratio of 19:9, which is pretty impressive.
We do hope that Huawei launches the P20 Pro as budget-friendly like the Honor V10, or even the Samsung S8+. But given the current pricing in Europe they announced, we can’t hope for much. It is a crucial time for them to take a hold over the world market, and we all know that pricing plays a key role in Indian market. What do you think about Huawei’s latest offering? POCO’s Next Phone, “New POCO” is just a POCO F1 with a Gradient Back!
POCO‘s General Manager C Manmohan has been teasing the company’s next phone, “New POCO” on Twitter from morning. We were all excited on the brand’s next venture, but it seems that the next phone isn’t a new model altogether.
Instead, this might be a revamped version of POCO F1 with a gradient back. Take a look at the below given screenshot from Mi Store:
This must be some kind of a bug in the app, which caused the upcoming phone to pop up before its launch.
If that gradient back sounds all too familiar, its the current trend in the smartphone industry, which was introduced by Huawei in their Huawei P20 series, which soon became the de facto smartphone design trend for 2018, with all the brands releasing phones with similar design.
Even Samsung launched their Samsung Galaxy A9 Star with a gradient back. Xiaomi was late to the party though, they released their Mi Play earlier today with gradient back design.
If that’s anything to go by, we can expect the phone to come in various gradient colours, even though the Mi store listing shows just a single variant.
If this is true, we can expect the price to remain unchanged as the brand would be just switching the polycarbonate back of POCO F1 to that of gradient colours.
If you ask me, they should’ve done this first time around and should’ve launched the phone with just gradient backs itself, that should’ve made the phone look much more premium than that of the polycarbonate backs.
Black Shark 2 is Launching in India Soon! As a Separate Brand.
But now we’ve an almost confirmed insider scoop regarding the phone’s launch in India.
Black Shark 2 will be launching here in India soon and we can expect their official social media handles to go live soon. But we’re not sure about how soon it is.
You might be wondering how this phone would be different from Xiaomi’s recently launched sub-brand POCO or POCOPHONE. It’s simple, Black Shark won’t be having any associations with Xiaomi (at least publicly). That means Black Shark will be a totally different brand here in India (and possibly in the global market).
It’ll be much more like Xiaomi’s other subsidiary brands operating now in India, like the recently launched Amazfit from Huami and the upcoming Yi light.
That brings us to the next question, Who will be providing customer support for the phone?
In India, POCO’s customer service is handled by Xiaomi itself. If the brand is gong to be stand alone, that would imply that the phone won’t be getting Xiaomi’s service support. They might be opting for “Free pickup and drop” type of service support which Google, Realme, etc are having in India now.
Talking about the phone, it was already leaked on a hands on video, take a look:
Mi A2 Spotted in Amazon India for Pre-Order for a Price of Rs.17,499!
Xiaomi‘s upcoming Mi A2 was spotted only briefly for pre-order on Amazon for a price of Rs.17,499 briefly and the listing isn’t available right now. Take a look at the listing:
Anyways, this might be the confirmation we need for the Mi A2 pricing in India. But talking about the price, we can’t take this fully as an authentic listing as Xiaomi generally prices their phones in numbers ending 999 in India.
The phone was launched earlier last month in Spain with a hefty price tag, which made us all confused about its Indian pricing. This listing might have confirmed the pricing of the phone, but let’s wait for the official launch for the
In case you need a refresher, Xiaomi’s Mi A2 is the successor to their very much successful Mi A1 Android One phone. The phone comes with a 5.99 inch FHD+ display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC.
It was launched in three different variants, 4GB RAM & 32GB & 64GB storage variants and 6GB RAM & 64GB internal storage variant.
Xiaomi boasts it’s camera very much and is promoting it mostly as a camera centric phone rather than it being an Android One phone. It comes with a dual camera setup on the back which consists of 12+20MP dual cameras and the same 20MP rear camera sensor on the front as selfie shooter.
If there’s one thing that is lacking on the phone, that would be the battery life. This phone comes with a measly 3010mAh battery, which would be okay for a day’s use but won’t help much in heavy use. But thankfully, there is Quick Charge 4.0 support for the phone in India (although company provides a normal charger for the phone).
The phone will be launched officially tomorrow by Xiaomi and it will remain an Amazon exclusive. We’re not sure when the phone will be available for us to buy too with this listing, so we’ve to wait for the official launch tomorrow now.
