The Huawei’s upcoming flagship model P20 has already appeared in a series of leaks, and in the latest of this series, its schematics has surfaced online. The latest set of leaks comes also comes the news that there’ll be three models of P20, namely Huawei P20, P20 Plus & P20 Pro. Three of these comes with different designs, which you can see below.
According to some previous reports, its also known that the much speculated smartphone from Huawei, the P11, which was expected to be unveiled at MWC 2018 at Barcelona, is in fact the Huawei P20 and there will be no P11. The major performance upgrade in the new model is thought to be the reason for the renaming. The 6.01 inches iPhone X look alike display on the P20 will be supplied by Samsung, which was previously confirmed. Here, the iPhone X like display with notch is featured in the Huawei P20 Pro model.
Huawei P20 is the base model, which comes with an 18:9 display in the front and also houses a fingerprint (much like the Honor View 10). Now, the real hype is on the back, where it features a three camera setup, aligned horizontally. It can also be see that there runs a strip horizontally, much like in the Mate 10 phones.
Huawei P20 Plus
Huawei P20 Plus is the second model, which we believe to be just an increment in display size. The front design is identical to the normal Huawei P20 model, but the changes are in the back. Here, we can see that the cameras position is changed to the left and is aligned vertically.
Huawei P20 Pro
Now, here’s the star of the show. Not only does it comes with a vertical camera arrangement, the phone comes with an iPhone X style display with a notch on the top. But there is a little bezel on the bottom unlike the iPhone X.
In the camera department, The Huawei P20 will be flaunting a three camera setup, The Pro-Triple lens from the German company leica. The Triple cameras are placed vertically at the top left corner of back panel. There will be no on screen finger print scanner though, since its clear in the renderings that the finger print scanner maintains the conventional position in the back panel.
The reports claims that the P20 series will come with Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor, the same processor used in the Huawei Mate 10 & Mate 10 Pro (and recent Honor View 10). The processor will be coupled with 6GB of RAM. Reports also suggest that it will come with Android Oreo out of the box with Huawei’s EMUI skin. Artificial Intelligence support as in their previous model Mate 10 will also be there as this is a Kirin 970 phone. One more model was rumoured previously, P20 Lite (P11 Lite previously), but details of that is unknown as of now.
The Pricing of Huawei P20 series phones are still unknown, but probably wont be low as far as the features goes. The most accurate information can be obtained after its MWC debut in 2018.
