Earlier this week, Chinese manufacturer Huawei announced that it will unveil the Nova 5 series of smartphones on June 21 in its Home market. The line-up is expected to include the Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro and the Nova 5i. Ahead of the launch event, the press renders along with few key details of the upcoming Nova 5 Pro has surfaced online.
The press renders of the upcoming Nova 5 Pro reveals that it will be available in four color options: Green, Purple, Orange, and Black. The smartphone was initially speculated to sport a punch-hole display similar to the Nova 5i, but the renders clearly show the flagship-grade smartphone with a waterdrop style notch. At the rear, the Nova 5 Pro sports an AI-assisted quad camera setup stacked in a vertical arrangement. There is no visible fingerprint sensor which means it is likely to come with an under display one.
As for the smartphone’s specifications, it is known that the Huawei Nova 5 Pro will be available in two configurations in China: 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. It will be powered by the company’s Kirin 980 chipset. Other specifications are not known at this moment but we can expect some more details to surfaced before the official launch.
Chinese regulatory agency TENAA has also recently certified the upcoming Nova 5i revealing almost all its specifications. From the listing, the handset will feature a 6.4 inch IPS display with FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole cut-out at the top left corner. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset. In the optics, it has a quad camera setup at the rear with a 24MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP depth sensor and a ToF sensor while offering a 24MP sensor at the front. It will be backed by a 3900 mAh battery and likely to run on EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9 Pie.
