Huawei has previously launched the Huawei P20 Lite as the Huawei Nova 3e in certain Asian markets. Now, they’re gearing up to launch their upcoming phone, Huawei Nova 3. Now they’ve officially teased the phone and revealed it’s back on Chinese social media platform Weibo, which bears similar design element as the P20 Lite in the rear, that is to be expected as it’s the higher end model of P20 Lite a.k.a Nova 3e.
The poster shows a golden variant with dual rear camera setup stacked in a vertical position on the top left corner. It will be accompanied by a circular fingerprint sensor. The company mentions that it had tied up with YFBoys, a Chinese boy band for marketing of the device. It claims that it is going to “Start a new journey with Millennium and join hands in creating a beautiful era of nova planet”, hinting that we may be seeing some innovative design on the front.
The teaser unfortunately reveals only the rear of the device and the front elements of the smartphone are still unknown. It is hard to tell if the smartphone follows the latest trend of having an upper bezel. But rumours point to an aspect ratio of 19:9 which means the notch will likely to be there.
Few weeks before two Huawei smartphones with model number PAR-Al00/TL00 cleared the 3C certification in China. They are speculated to be the variants of the Nova 3 and revealed the phone will be codenamed “Paris” and the new Kirin 710 chipset will be powering the device. There was also a rumour that Huawei will be implementing the under display fingerprint sensor on the device , but we can be sure from this teaser that it clearly doesn’t. The phone will run on the latest EMUI 8 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and will be officially launched in July.
NOTE: The phone on the featured image is Huawei Nova 3e (P20 Lite)
Blackberry Ghost & Ghost Pro To Launch as Blackberry Evolve & Evolve Pro
Earlier we knew that Blackberry’s Indian licensee, Optiemus would be launching two new Blackberry smartphones- Blackberry Ghost and Ghost Pro. Even the previous reports and leaks referred to the phones using that name. However, today, popular tipster Even Blass has said out that the phones will be named as Blackberry Evolve and Evolve Pro. He further clarified that ‘Ghost’ was just a codename for the device.
Apparently the Ghost and Ghost Pro from India's Optiemus are coming to market as the BlackBerry Evolve and Evolve X.
— Evan Blass (@evleaks) July 17, 2018
The device, codenamed Blackberry Ghost was a thing for the first time a few months back and then some renders emerged. Recently we heard that the phone will pack a big 4000mAh battery.
One more Ghost tidbit: it's got a 4,000mAh battery, which would be one of the largest in a flagship-class device.
— Evan Blass (@evleaks) July 5, 2018
As of now, the rumors claim that the Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X will sport a futuristic look from 2018, i.e. a bezel-less display. However, we are not quite sure about the implementation of the bezel-less design as the renders showed no sign of notch. Though the renders point towards a glass and metal build. In other markets, Blackberry partnered with TCL, but even with those phones, Blackberry seemed to stick with mid-sized batteries with only one exception- Blackberry Motion. Blackberry Motion is the only smartphone from the brand packing a huge 4000mAh battery.
There is no info regarding the launch of Blackberry Evolve and Evolve Pro, but the Optiemus made Blackberry phones may be exclusive in India and may mark the starting of a bezel-less design era for Blackberry.
