While the Huawei Mate 20 Lite is already official, the Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro are still left to be unveiled. The Chinese giant Huawei has already confirmed the launch date to be October 16th, since then, we have seen quite a lot of leaks regarding both the devices including hands-on images, videos and case renders. Now, the Mate 20 Pro has appeared in leaked promo materials ahead of the official launch.
The first leak is an image that shows the Blue color variant of Huawei Mate 20 Pro held in hands by a guy. Although the front ain’t much clearly visible, one can clearly see the curved display and the triple rear camera set up at the back along with an LED flash, placed in a squircle camera module. The back also has a sticker to it which reads out information related to the device, unfortunately, the image itself is not that clear to be zoomed in. There are speculations that this color will be officially named as Morpho Aurora.
Following this image, we have leaked promo materials (presentation) of the device which reveal most of the things about the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro in detail.
AS per the slides, both the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will be powered by the all-new HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor manufactured by TSMC on 7nm FinFet process, unveiled a few weeks earlier at the IFA 2018.
The Mate 20 will come with a 6.53-inch flat screen, 4GB of RAM, 4,000 mAh battery, and IP53 rating while its elder brother will get the perks of having a 6.9-inch curved display, 6GB of RAM, and a slightly bumped up 4,200 mAh battery, followed by an IP67 rating, no IP68 this time too! Another major difference is the lack of 3.5mm jack on the Pro while the former got it right.
Furthermore, Huawei has implemented its New 15W Supercharge technology that is claimed to get you a 70% charge on the 4,200 mAh battery in around 30 minutes (it is quite doubtful due to the fact that the recent Huawei/Honor flagships came with 22.5W (4.5A at 5V) based SuperCharging technology.)
The Mate 20 Pro also gets an In-Display fingerprint scanner and an IR based 3D Face unlock which is claimed to unlock the device in 0.5 seconds, faster than the launched Apple’s iPhone X (trying not to compete with the XS). On the other hand, the regular model lacks both of these technologies and relies on a physical fingerprint scanner present at the back for the same. Interestingly, both of them also get a new Bone Voice ID for unlocking the phone, however, the images suggest that a special pair of wireless Huawei earphones will be mandatory to use this cool feature.
Both phones will bear a 24-megapixel camera at the front for Selfies followed by the triple-lenses at the back. The Mate 20 Pro is speculated to bear a new wide angle lens which will replace the telephoto lens from the P20 Pro. Also, it is expected that both the devices will get same sort of Leica branded rear cameras. Being a typical AI camera phone, the device is touted to pack certain AI features like AI Smart Zoom, which includes moving object detection, automatic focus, and zoom tracking and HiVision (something inspired from Google Lens).
The slides further reveal that the phone supports wireless projection to an external monitor/computer which seems a better solution compared to the what Samsung is offering with DEX.
Last but not the least, Huawei might introduce a new nano-memory card which will be as small as a nano-SIM card and will be available in capacities up to 256GB. Well, this might become a new industry standard soon, who knows 😛
Also take a look at these teasers for the phone:
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 are reported to be launched in Israel by the end of October at a price of NIS 4,000 ($1,108) and NIS 3,000 ($831), respectively. As known to us, the global launch is scheduled for October 16 for us to see what Huawei has actually been cooking in. Till then, stay tuned.
Google Pixel 3 Lite & Pixel 3 Lite XL CAD Renders Revealed!
While the Google Pixel handsets have been hailed as best camera phones one can buy, the tech Giant has taken the feedback seriously as it plans to offer its best camera at Nexus-level pricing. The Pixel 3 Lite is said to be an affordable variant of the Pixel 3 and has been subjected to a couple of leaks before.
However, another tipster Onleaks claimed that there will be another larger model to be called as Pixel 3 Lite XL. Today, with collaboration with 91mobiles, he released first 5K renders and a 360-video of the smartphones confirming previous renders.
The Pixel 3 Lite and the Pixel 3 Lite XL seems to have a similar design as its parent Pixel 3 duo but have their differences as well. There is no notched display on either of them and it seems they have slight bezels on the side and top along with a chin at the bottom. Unlike the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, there will be only one speaker which will double up as an earpiece. Ditching the dual selfie camera design, the Pixel 3 Lite and its brother will get a single selfie snapper. There is also a 3.5 mm headphone jack on both the smartphones which aren’t available on the Pixel 3 duo.
Both the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL carry the volume rocker and the power button on the right side and an ejectable SIM on the left side. The lower side houses a USB Type-C port paired with speaker grills. On the rear, they both sport a single camera with a camera bump coupled with dual tone LED flash, a circular fingerprint sensor and a Google logo below. Like their flagship siblings, the upcoming smartphones will be available in black and white hues with a green neon power button on the white color option. The Pixel 3 Lite XL also seems to sport a polycarbonate construction instead of a glass one.
As for its specs, the Pixel 3 Lite will come with a 5.5 inch 18:5:9 display while the Pixel 3 Lite XL will feature a 6 inch 18:5:9 display . Both the devices measure 8.2 mm in thickness which increases to 9 mm when the rear camera bump is included. The Pixel 3 Lite measures 151.3 x 70.1 mm while the XL measures 160 x 76.1mm.
The earlier codenamed Sargo is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage while offering a 12MP rear and 8MP front camera. It will run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and will be backed by a 2,915 mAh battery. The elder sibling is expected to carry similar specs though it is rumored to house a Snapdragon 710 under the hood. As for now, Google is yet to give an official word on the price or the launch date of the smartphones.
Sony Xperia XZ4 Compact Revealed in CAD Renders. Comes with 5-inch Display!
A few days ago, we witnessed the Sony Xperia XZ4‘s CAD render leaks which revealed the presence of the triple camera setup on the device. Now we have got some information regarding the Compact version of the XZ4 lineup, the Sony Xperia XZ4 Compact.
The major visual difference you will notice immediately is the difference in the screen size and the bezels. The Sony Xperia XZ4 features a modern design with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 6-inch display, while the brand has equipped the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact with a 5-inch screen and noticeable bezels. The device measures 139.9 x 66.5 x 9.3 mm according to the renders.
The bottom bezel holds the Sony logo. The side bezels are very much noticeable, unlike the regular variant. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side of the device as usual. There is a single rear camera on the device while the regular Sony Xperia XZ4 features triple cameras. An LED flash is mounted to the right of the rear camera.
There is a single front-facing camera on the device. The Xperia XZ4 Compact will retain the 3.5 mm headphone jack which was absent on the Xperia XZ4 renders. This is a welcome move as the number of people depending on wired audio devices is still more and having a headphone jack on the device is a positive gesture considering the compact nature of the device.
The leaked CAD renders have also been made into a 3D render based on the dimensions. Check out the 3D render video below.
An exact information regarding the launch of the Xperia Xz4 and the Xperia XZ4 Compact is not known yet but they are expected to be unveiled at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2019 which is scheduled to be held from 25 to 28 February in Barcelona. Till then, stay tuned for further updates.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Leaked. Comes with Warp Charger & 10GB of RAM!
OnePlus is geared up for the launch of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Speed Orange next week. The Chinese company didn’t reveal much except for its collaboration with the British car brand McLaren. Today a Twitter User @IshanAgarwal24 has revealed both the design aspect as well as the specs of the upcoming smartphone.
EXCLUSIVE LEAK! Here is your first look at the Official Renders of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Speed Orange variant with 10GB+256GB Storage and super fast new 'Warp Charge' which will provide you a day's power in 20 minutes! From the leaked images, the McLaren Edition doesn’t look much different from the regular variant at the front with its waterdrop notch and large display. However, the rear gets a real upgrade with a new glass design with carbon-fibre pattern underneath instead of its single color design. There is an orange hue added to the bottom edge and extend to the sides with a McLaren logo at the back. The choice of the color is understandable since McLaren’s signature color is orange.
As for its specifications, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Speed Orange will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and coupled with a whopping 10GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. The battery capacity will remain the same at 3,700 mAh but some changes have been made to the Warp Charge tech. The new version called Warp Charge 30 claims to deliver “a day’s power 20 minutes” according to the promotional posters.
OnePlus previously mentioned in the announcement that the collaboration is a “long-term strategic partnership’ meaning there could be potentially more number of McLaren OnePlus handsets in the future. With a bump in specs, the McLaren Edition will likely to come with a price tag higher than the top variant of the OnePlus 6T.
OnePlus will unveil the handset globally on December 11 following the Indian on December 12 which will be held at Richardson & Cruddas Limited building, Byculla, Mumbai at 6.00 PM and the fans who wants to attend the event should grab the tickets from the OnePlus’s official website.
