Honor View 20 Launched in India, Punch Hole Display & 48MP Cam at Rs.37,999!

Honor launched the Honor V20 in China a month back. Since then, there were multiple rumors regarding the device’s Indian launch. Today, the brand has finally unveiled the device to the Indian market. While the device was named Honor V20 in China, it will be called Honor View 20 in India. The rest of the specifications of the device remains the same.

The most notable aspect of the device is its punch hole camera on the display, which we have seen earlier in devices like the Samsung Galaxy A8s & Huawei Nova 4.  The Honor View 20 packs a 6.4-inch FHD+ LCD display with the hole for the camera on the left side on the phone.

The handset is powered by Huawei’s own 7nm chipset, the HiSilicon Kirin 980, the same chipset used in Huawei’s own flagships Huawei Mate 20 series, Huawei Nova 4 and Honor’s own Honor Magic 2 flagship.

There are two variants for the device. The base model will feature 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, while the higher variant will have 8 GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Honor View 20 will harness the power of AI for enhancing the camera performance. The phone also has Huawei’s Link Turbo technology, which helps to achieve faster transfer rates by combining LTE and Wi-Fi networks.

Triple horizontally stacked rear cameras will be present on the handset where the primary sensor is a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor with support for up to 960 fps slow-motion recording. The secondary camera is a 3D TOF sensor instead of a depth sensor, telephoto sensor or wide-angle cameras like other Huawei or Honor phones. If that TOF sensor sounds familiar, it’s the one similar to the secondary camera we saw in Oppo R17 Pro and Vivo NEX Dual Display edition.

The color variants available are Phantom Blue, Midnight Black, and Sapphire Blue.

As far as the pricing is concerned, the base variant with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage will retail at Rs. 37,999 while the higher 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs. 45,999.
