Honor unveiled the device in China back in December last year. The smartphone was globally launched on January 23. While the specifications are no longer mystery to the public, there is some fresh information regarding the handset’s price in the country.

The Honor View 20 comes with a glossy glass back with tapered edges for a better grip. There is a small chin at the bottom while the earpiece is hidden on the top frame. It features a 6.4 inch FullHD+ IPS panel with a resolution of 2310 x 1080 pixels. A punch-hole cutout at the top left of the all-screen display houses the 25MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The absence of any extra bezel leads to a high screen-to-body ratio of 91.82%.

The Honor View 20 houses a 7nm based HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset paired with a Mali G76 MP10 GPU. The new chipset boasts better power efficiency and packs a dual NPU for advance AI and machine learning computation. The report reveals that only the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will make it to the India.

The Honor View 20 is the world’s first smartphone to sport a 48MP rear camera which is a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor with f/1.8 aperture. It uses pixel binning to combine four 0.8µm pixels into one to make a 1.6µ pixel when in 12MP mode. The camera comes with AI features aided by the NPU and is can shoot 960 fps slow motion videos along with 4K videos at 60fps.

Additionally, it comes with a secondary 3D Time of Flight (ToF) sensor for depth sensing, 3D aid and AR effects. It runs on Magic UI 2.0 on top of Android 9.0 Pie. This new UI first seen on the smartphone is a cleaner and simplified version of the company’s EMUI with less bloatware. To power all this features, it comes with a massive 4,000 mAh battery with support for Huawei’s Super Charge fast charging (4.5A at 5V). There is a liquid cooling system, 3.5 mm headphone jack, dual microphones, dual frequency GPS and triple-antenna Wi-Fi on-board.

From the report, the Honor View 20 will come at a price tag of Rs 35,999 for the single variant undercutting the OnePlus 6T very small margin. It will be exclusively available through Amazon India in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue color options. The smartphone is set to launch in the Indian market on January 29.

Mi A3 Retail Box Leaked! Reveals it’s just a Repackaged Xiaomi CC9e

Published

on

Xiaomi has good success with its A-series which comes with stock Android instead of custom interface MIUI. The Chinese company launched the Mi A1 in 2017 and the Mi A2 last year and now its gearing up for the Xiaomi Mi A3. Popular tipster Roland Quandt has published official images of the smartphone while live images of its retail box have surfaced online.

In his tweet Roland Quandt says that the images are official but he is not 100% sure about the specs. He mentioned that it will carry a FHD AMOLED display and house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665. The images show a waterdrop notch on the display with a small chin on the bottom. The rear sports a triple camera setup stacked vertically on the top left side. Since there is no visible fingerprint sensor, we expect it to come with a under display one. It also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The leaked white-color retail box confirms that the Mi A3 will be available in Blue and White shades but there seems to be a black color option as well. The protective film on the front reveals that it will indeed be powered by the Snapdragon 655 while featuring a 6.08 inch AMOED display with in-screen fingerprint sensor.  It will likely to be accompanied with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

One of the sensors from the rear triple camera setup will be a 48MP sensor while the remaining two could be an 8MP wide-angle and 2MP depth sensor. On the front it will offer a 32MP camera placed on the notch. The handset will be backed by a 4,030 mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

While the details suggest that the Mi A3 as a global variant of the recently launched Mi CC9e, it will be different as the CC9e has a HD+ panel while the A3 seems to sport a FHD+ panel. The predecessor was launched with a FHD+ display and fans wouldn’t want a successor with a lower- res display.

Xiaomi has released one new promo dedicated to the Xiaomi Mi A3 through its official social channels but mentioned nothing about its launch date and availability.

With two generations of Xiaomi’s Android One phones, they’re in the works of the next-gen phone which could be named as Mi A3. Usually, the A series follows the design and specifications of “MiX” series of devices. After a lot of rumours, they’d launched Xiaomi CC9 last month. The reports on the web suggest that Xiaomi will follow CC9 lineup for A3 & A3 Lite. Famous tipster @IshanAgarwal24 revealed that the Xiaomi Mi A3 {codenamed bamboo_sprout} will spot Snapdragon 730 SoC while the lower Mi A3 Lite {codenamed cosmos_sprout} will sport a Snapdragon 675 chipset.

Talking about the design, as mentioned earlier it may follow the CC9 line-up most probably. The A3 will spot a 6.39-inch FHD+ display while the A3 lite may spot a 6.01-inch FHD+ display. Both the devices will spot the battery size of 4,030mAh. It they follow the trend of CC9, it will spot a headphone jack. Thankfully Xiaomi will return a headphone jack here and usually, A series would have a smaller capacity battery, but this time they’d solved that issue too.

Ishaan has confirmed that information regarding chipset is confirmed and not likely to change. It the rumours are true, then the Mi A3 would be powerful than the Mi CC9 series and a key differentiator between them will be the processor. The MI CC9 comes with a Snapdragon 710 SoC while the Mi CC9e has a Snapdragon 665 SoC. We don’t have any information regarding the launch date of the devices. However, the brand is launching the Redmi K20 lineup on July 17. The launch of these devices would be in the later Q3/ first of Q4.

Xiaomi also started teasing the phone in their global social media accounts. Which could mean that the global debut of the phone is happening soon.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Revealed in High Quality Renders!

With less than a month to go before Samsung officially unveils the Galaxy Note 10 at an Unpacked event in NYC, the final design of the upcoming flagship smartphone has surfaced online. The press renders of the Galaxy Note 10 are released by tipsters Ishan Agarwal and WinFuture’s Roland Quandt on Twitter.

The leaked renders confirm most of the rumored design elements with changes both at the rear and front. Samsung has added a triple camera setup that is stacked vertically at the top left corner with the LED flash on the side. We can also see the new S-Pen which looks very identical to that of the Galaxy Note 9 with small changes. The renders show the smartphone in a gradient silver and black color.

On the front Samsung has opted for a punch-hole placed on the center of the display. There is a very small chin and an edge-to-edge display. It will be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The handset’s external design is almost similar and is limited due to the S-Pen that prevents from adding bigger batteries and modern design to its most expensive phone line. However, the accessory remains one of the top priorities for the Note series fans.

As for the specs, the Galaxy Note 10 is rumored to sport a 6.66-inch display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9/ Snapdragon 855 paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is said to come with a triple camera setup of 16MP + 12MP + 12MP configuration with a 10MP selfie camera. It will run on Android 9 Pie and powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging support. Samsung will also be releasing a higher variant called the Galaxy Note 10+.

Samsung will take the wraps of the Galaxy Note 10 at an Unpacked event on August 7 at 4 PM EST. The event will be live streamed as well so that fans from all over the world can watch it.
