Honor V20

Honor’s upcoming phone, Honor V20 is supposedly arriving on 26th of this month, but yet, we’re seeing more leaks ahead of its launch. This time, it’s the retail box that has been leaked, and it confirms a face unlock feature. The leaked image of the box showcases the front portion of it, without much info being exposed. And this front portion, gives us an info about the face unlock.

Few hours ago, a post on Weibo gave us a look at one of the first live images of the Honor V20 and an idea about the AnTuTu benchmark scores. It shows an overall score of 291,244, where, the CPU score is listed as 106,755, GPU score is 109,251, UX score is 64,574, and MEM score is 10,664. The scores seem to be decent so far and there is no sign of any benchmark boostings done.

The post claims that the device will be powered by the Huawei’s 7nm chipset Kirin 980, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS2.1 flash storage. It’s also been said that the phone’s housing a massive 48MP rear shooter and images that claim to be taken from this camera has been taking rounds in the internet.

As far as the previous reports say, the phone has Link Turbo, 22.5W fast-charging, and runs on EMUI 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie, out of the box. As of now, nothing has been officially confirmed so far, and official specifications are still under the hood. Whilst the reports suggest that the chinese launch is scheduled to go live on the day after christmas, the global launch is still a month way and is supposed to take place in France on January 22nd.

LG G8X Renders Revealed, to Launch in IFA 2019!

Published

on

LG is all set for the launch of its new G-series smartphone at the IFA 2019 event in Berlin. The phone is expected to be named as LG G8X in international markets and will be the successor to the LG G8s ThinQ. In Korea, it will launch as the LG V50S.

According to the recent leaks and rumors, the LG G8X will feature a dewdrop notch and a glass body finish. The display is said to be of 6.2 inch and may come with an embedded in-screen fingerprint sensor. This will make it the first LG smartphone to have this technology.

Under the hood, it will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. The device will sport a dual-camera setup on the rear. It will have IP68 rating (water and dust resistance), a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. There will also be a dedicated Google Assistant button. The renders show a traditional speaker at the top of the phone.

Last week, the company released a video showing a cartoon character traveling from one screen to a destination on the other screen while revealing a third display showing date and time. The company has released a new video showing the hands of a clock going from zero degrees to 180 degrees hinting a dual-screen technology.

LG was reported to launch two smartphones at the IFA 2019: the LG G8X and the LG V60 ThinQ or the LG V50S. Now reports have indicated that they are not separate phones. Instead, the company is planning to launch the LG G8X in International markets and the LG V50S ThinQ in Korea. Now LG uses G-series moniker for the 4G LTE smartphones and V-series moniker for 5G smartphones. This has lead to the speculation that LG G8X will have 4G LTE connectivity while the LG V50S ThinQ will have 5G connectivity.

LG has not given any official word on the smartphone. We will have to wait for a few leaks before the launch to know more about the smartphone. Till then, keep tuned for more updates.

Oppo Reno2 With Quad Camera To Launch In India First, Camera Details Revealed!

Published

on

Oppo Reno is the latest flagship phone lineup from Oppo. After the first from the lineup, Oppo Reno was launched, it created a huge buzz in the smartphone users community. Just at the starting of this month, we came to know that Oppo is working on the next Reno, and also, we came to know that the phone will launch first in India. Today, more details have emerged and this time, the info we have right now is official.

However, at that time nothing was official. But today, Oppo has officially teased the next phone from Oppo Reno lineup. The phone is named Oppo Reno2, which is a bit of surprise as Oppo is named their phones in quite a complex way. Anyway, the Oppo Reno2 will be launched first in India, as speculated on August 28.

This is quite a big step for a brand like Oppo and this somehow indicates that the company is willing to trade on dangerous grounds by introducing flagship phones first in India. Here’s the teaser, in case you haven’t seen it yet.

The company, in the teaser, mentioned a thing or two about the special features of the phone. Oppo Reno2 will come with quad-camera setup on the back and will have 20x zoom. This is a huge leap from the current Oppo Reno smartphone, which has a 10x zoom. However, there is no word regarding what kind of technologies the company is using on the phone or which camera sensor is being used on Oppo Reno2.

But well, the official teaser wasn’t enough for smartphone enthusiasts it seems. An account by the name Fengchao Technology on Weibo, posted on China’s Facebook that the Oppo Reno2 will have a  48-megapixel primary camera. Along with it, there will be a 13-megapixel telephoto lens, which will offer a 20x zoom. He suggested that there will be an 8-megapixel super wide-angle lens and there will be a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. The 2-megapixel monochrome sensor is something pretty uncommon on smartphones.

Also, just now it has been brought to our notice that a new Oppo device bearing the PCKM70 model number has passed through China’s Compulsory Certification Agency (CCC). The listing reveals that the phone comes with Oppo’s proprietary VOOC 3.0 for 20W fast charging and supports 5G connectivity. As of now, as flagship phones are the only ones getting 5G support, so it won’t be surprising if Oppo Reno2 supports 5G as well or if Oppo brings a separate 5G variant of Oppo Reno2. However, as these are unofficial pieces of info from different sources, I would advise you to take it with a pinch of salt. The Snapdragon 712 is only a slight upgrade in processing power as compared to the Snapdragon 710 in it’s predecessor, the Realme 3 Pro. Apart from the processor, it will be coming with a host of changes as compared to the Realme 3 Pro.

One of the areas where we can see huge improvements in the camera department, which now employs a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor as the primary camera as opposed to the 16MP camera on the Realme 3 Pro. The rear camera comprises of a Quad lens setup. So apart from the 48MP primary shooter, there will be an ultrawide angle camera and a macro lens, while the type of the fourth lens is unknown.

The display will be AMOLED instead of IPS display, because of which the colour reproduction in the Realme 5 Pro will be improved considerably. Apart from that, it will be having an in-display fingerprint scanner instead of the conventional fingerprint scanner.

If these leaks are true, then the upcoming Realme 5 Pro will pose serious competition to its competitors.
