The Honor Play is yet another smartphone which is gaming-centric. We have seen a bunch of gaming smartphones in the past like the Xiaomi BlackShark, Razer Phone, Asus ROG Phone. All these devices have encouraged game developers to develop games with superior graphics.

The smartphone features a 6.3-inch Full-HD display with a pixel resolution of 1080*2280 pixels and has a 19:9 aspect ratio. The Chinese smartphone maker has included Histen Audio Tech which produces game sounds in 7.1 channel. There will be two variants of the device – one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage and the other with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.

It is priced affordably at 2000 Yuan and 2400 Yuan which roughly translates to Rs.20,700 and Rs.25,200 respectively.

There will also be a new GPU turbo feature with the Honor Play which will improve the GPU performance by 60%. This is achieved by restructuring the graphical framework at a lower level than simple software features.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the device packs a dual rear camera setup(16 MP+2 MP). The front camera is a 16 MP shooter. The handset draws juice from a 3,750mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI custom skin. The sale will be an Amazon Exclusive and will take place at 4 pm tomorrow.
