Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is all set to introduce the Honor 10 smartphone globally at an event in London now. The company has send out the launch of its next smartphone, Honor 7C in India (the phone was launched early in China). The teaser doesn’t directly reveal the name, but the design and the dual cameras are clear in the image. The budget smartphone will be launched in May 22. Recently, the user manual of the Honor 7C and the Honor 7A were uploaded to Honor India site recently, which hints that the 7A might be launched on the same event.
The Honor 7C features a 5.99 inch display with a resolution of FHD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset along with Ardeno 506 GPU. It is available in two configurations: 3GB RAM + 32GB internal space and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. Both have expandable memory options with a micro SD card upto 256GB.
In the optics department, the device sports a dual camera setup consisting of a 13 MP rear primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 8 MP front facing camera with LED flash. It runs on EMUI 8.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS+ GLONASS and dual SIM(nano + nano + microSD). It measures 158.3 x 76.7 x 7.8 mm and weighs 164 g.
The smartphone is available in Black, Red, Gold and Blue color options and comes at a starting price tag of 899 Yuan (Rs 9,000 approx) which compete aginst the likes of Xiaomi Redmi S2, Redmi 5. Like other Honor devices will likely to be an Amazon or Flipkart exclusive.
