Honor 9x & 9x Pro Launched in China. Kirin 810 & Pop Up Cameras!



After banning, temporarily removing and finally permanently removing the ban, the all skits happened in the US, Huawei under their Honor brand has launched some new devices in China. They launched the Honor 9x and Honor 9x Pro, after some leaks and reports. Last day, the company has officially shared the teaser on it’s Weibo account.

Both the devices have almost the same specifications, except for some key specifications like RAM, Storage capacity. Additionally, there is a difference between the camera sensors used in the devices.

Honor 9X & 9X Pro both spots a 6.59-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:5:9 with the 2.5D curved glass. Both the devices have a no notch display because of the front camera is placed in a pop-up module. Both the devices are powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 810 chipset, which is a successor to the last years Kirin 710 chipset. The chipset is built on the 7nm process. It has 2x ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.27GHz + 6x ARM Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.55GHz. It is coupled with Mali-G52 MP6 GPU.

The Honor 9X has 4GB/6GB RAM with 64GB/128GB storage. While the Pro variant has 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. Both the smartphones can be further expanded up to 512GB via micro sd card. Thanks to Honor for keeping Micro sd card slot in 2019!

Talking about optics the 9x has dual rear camera setup while the Pro variant has a triple rear camera setup. The 9x has a 48MP primary sensor with an aperture value of f/1.8. It is coupled with a 2MP depth-sensing unit. While the Pro variant has a triple camera as mentioned, it has a primary 48MP camera coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and finally a 2MP depth-sensing unit. Both the devices have a 16MP pop-up camera with f/2.2 value.

The device is backed by a 4000 mAh battery. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of the usual physical rear-mounted physical fingerprint sensor. It runs on Android Pie on top of Emui 9.1. It has USB type c port and Honor still retains a headphone jack in both the devices.

Honor9X comes in three different colours i.e Midnight Black, Blue, and Red. The phone will go on sale in China from July 30. However, the pre-orders are starting today. The phone is priced at 1399 Yuan for the 4GB & 64GB variant (roughly Rs 14,175), 1599 Yuan for the 6GB & 64GB (roughly Rs 16,020) and 1899 Yuan for 6GB & 128GB (roughly Rs 19,025).

While the Honor 9X Pro comes in two different colour options — Midnight Black and Phantom Blue. The phone will go on sale in China from August 9, while the pre-orders will start on July 30. The phone is priced at 2199 Yuan for 8GB & 128GB variant(roughly Rs 22,035) and 2399 Yuan for 8GB & 256GB variant (roughly Rs 24,014).
