Honor 8X Global Launch Dates confirmed by the Company!



The Chinese giant Huawei’s sub-brand Honor unveiled the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max last month, in its home country. Now, the company has officially confirmed the global arrival of the device along with the dates for the same in addition to the Indian launch approval.

As mentioned by Honor on its official website, the Honor 8X global launch has already been started today at from 7:25 PM IST in Dubai which has also been live streamed on Youtube by the company, followed by Madrid, Spain. Furthermore, the next launch will be held in Malaysia on October 9th followed by Russia on 10th and Prague on the 11th of October. The Indian launch is marked for 16th of Oct and will be held in New Delhi. The launch will end on October 24th with its last venue in Thailand.

In continuation of these back to back launches, Honor will also run a contest, allowing the fans to win Honor 8X smartphone and other exciting gifts like Honor Music Egg portable Bluetooth speaker, Honor Band 3, and Honor xSport AM61 Bluetooth headset. One can participate by watching launch live stream and commenting on the best feature of the Honor 8X with an additional step of guessing its price. Prizes will be randomly given every 8 minutes.

The Honor 8X sports a 15-layer glare 2.5D glass in different textures. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Honor 8X comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with a Full-HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels in a 19:5:9 aspect ratio, thanks to the Notch.

Under the hood, it is powered by the new Kirin 710 SoC paired with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU, in 4/64GB and 6/128GB RAM and storage configurations. In the optics department, the device gets a 16 MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The back houses a 20MP + 2MP camera combination with AI capabilities like scene recognition. On the software front, it runs Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 on top. The handset draws juice from a 3750 mAh battery.

It is expected to come to India at a price tag of around Rs.15000-Rs.17000. Let’s wait for the official Indian launch scheduled for 16th of October. Till then, stay tuned.
