Honor previously confirmed that it will be launching the Honor 8C smartphone on October 11. The smartphone with model number BKK-TL00 was certified on Chinese regulatory agency TENAA but contained only the specifications. Now, the listing on TENAA has been updated with images of the smartphone.
The Honor 8C will succeed the Honor 7C that was launched in March this year in China and made available in May in India. It sported dual camera setup on the back and has Face Unlock feature. The device is shown in Black color on the website and will come with a notched display.
The recently uploaded images of the Honor 8C confirms that it will carry a dual camera setup on the rear stacked in a vertical arrangement on the top left corner. Previous listing mentioned the primary sensor to be of 13MP camera while the secondary sensor is of 2MP. The front will carry an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling. A rear also carries a circular fingerprint sensor that can be seen in the images.
The Honor 8C comes with a 6.26 inch LCD display with a resolution of HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) and will be powered by a 1.8 GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with Adreno 509 GPU coupled with 4GB RAM. The handset will run EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It will be backed by a 3,900 mAh battery and will be available in Blue, Black, Purple and Gold color options. It measures 158.72 x 75.94 x 7.98 mm and weighs 167.2 grams. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WI-FI 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS + GLONASS.
There is no information regarding the price of the smartphone which is expected to be revealed on the launch event.
