Honor has scheduled an event in London where it will be unveiling its new Honor 20 series smartphones that includes Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Pro. The Chinese manufacturer has already released the Honor 20 Lite. The phones are scheduled to launch in China on May 31.
Honor has confirmed the Honor 20 series will be launched in India on June 11. The company has sent out media invites for the launch event confirming that the Honor 20 series is coming.
From the reports, the Honor 20 will feature 6.26 inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole on the top-left corner and a pixel density of 412 ppi. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Kirin 980 chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
It has a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture placed on the punch-hole. On the back, there will be an OIS-enabled camera setup with a Sony IMX586 48MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 117-degree 16MP superwide lens with f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP macro lens. There will be no rear fingerprint sensor and instead will be embedded in the power button.
The phone is expected to draw power from a 3,750 mAh battery with SuperCharge rapid charging technology. It is speculated to fill 50 percent of the battery by just charging for 30 minutes. It will run Magic UI 2.1 based on Android 9 Pie. Other features include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port and Virtual 9.1 Surround Sound.
The Honor 20 will come in two color options: Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black. Apart from this, Honor is also expected to launch the Honor 20 Pro and the Honor 20 Lite smartphones in the Indian market. The official pricing and the availability information will be revealed in the official launch event. Till then, keep tuned.
