Google Pixel 3 XL Clearly White Model Leaked!

Published

Pixel 3

Google is working on the new Pixel smartphone codenamed crosshatch which is speculated to be the Google Pixel 3 XL. Today a couple of hands-on photos of the white variant of Google Pixel 3 XL were published by the folks at XDA. Last month, they published the first live images of the device revealing features like notched display, dual front cameras, 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

The leaked images show a black chin even on the white variant. The top notch is there along with two front cameras. The rear sports a single camera placed the top left corner accompanied by a fingerprint sensor at the middle. The bootloader information reveals that it is an EVT 1.0 model (Engineering Variation Test) which is the same model leaked earlier. It retains the 4GB RAM but comes with a 64GB internal storage.

The photo match with the leaked 3D CAD renders from before but doesn’t confirm features like wireless charging or Google Pixel 2’s Active Edge squeezable frame. The Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2XL featured an OLED display which brings the possibility that Pixel 3 and the Xl variant will feature it too. But we can’t confirm it for sure from the image. The original poster mentions that the rear is “totally glass” and the “top part is glossy and bottom part is matte” but that it’s all “a single part”.

However before believing anything we should remember that it shows an early engineering model and not the final product. Since the device is set for an October launch, it’s likely way past EVT 1.0 stage in production and reached DVT (Design Validation Test)  where the hardware units are getting ready for mass production. So we can expect slight changes in the final product.

Redmi K20 Leaked Poster Reveals it’s Powered by Snapdragon 730!

Published

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch its first flagship smartphone, the Redmi K20 on May 28. The smartphone is being touted to come with tons of features with an affordable price tag giving a tough competition to recently launched flagships such as the OnePlus 7/OnePlus 7 Pro. The Redmi K20 series will have two smartphones: a regular variant and a Pro variant.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the K20 will come with the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset but didn’t specify whether it stands for either or both of them. Without any doubt, the processor will be powering the Pro variant. Now a new poster has revealed the chipset on the regular non-pro variant.

According to the poster spotted at a Mi store, the Redmi K20 will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 which also powers the Samsung Galaxy A80. The 8nm chipset was announced by Qualcomm back in April with the SD 665 and the SD 730G. The SD 730 is an octa-core chipset with a 2+6 Kyro 460 core arrangement and has Adreno 618GPU, a Hexagon 688 DSP, Qualcomm’s Hexagon Tensor accelerator and a computer vision ISP that allows 4K HDR video recording with bokeh effect.

The poster further confirms the Redmi K20 will feature a full-screen display, a pop-up selfie camera, triple rear camera setup with a 48MP primary camera. There will be a 7th generation in-screen fingerprint scanner along with a 4,000 mAh battery. It will run Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.

From previous reports, we know the Redmi K20 will be available in Red and Blue color variants. We saw the Red color variant in the official image released by the company. Though many fans have suspected it to be a render, Xiaomi’s director of product management revealed that it is a real photo. Other features of the handset include DC dimming, a 3.5 mm audio jack and Game Mode 2.0.
