Galaxy A51 Reveled in CAD Renders! Shows off it’s Punch Hole Display & Quad camera setup!

Published

Samsung’s Galaxy A-Series is getting expanded with the upcoming Galaxy A51, which is believed to be the successor of the A50s. As a mid-range smartphone and successor to the Galaxy A50s, the Galaxy A51 is getting a few upgrades, but as well as some changes in design. The phone is expected to launch by the starting of 2020 and already we know that Samsung has started manufacturing the phone in its facility in Noida, India. But the renders of Galaxy A51 have been leaked by OnLeaks. The renders provide some crucial details regarding the design of the phone.

From the render, it is clear that the Galaxy A51 will come with a flat punch-hole display that will house the front-facing camera. Some sources claim that the phone will have a big 6.5-inch display and the device will be 8.5mm thick if we consider the camera bump as well. On the back, there are four cameras, which are placed in a rectangular module that protrudes out a bit. Three cameras are placed vertically and the fourth one is placed on the side, above which there is an LED flash.

The back of the phone has curved edges and it’s quite minimal in terms of looks as there is just the Samsung logo. There is no sign of a fingerprint scanner, so we can assume the phone would come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The renders also reveal the placement of buttons and ports. The volume rockers and the power button are placed on the right edge of the device.  The left edge has nothing but a SIM Card Tray. The bottom of the phone house the 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port, and the speaker.

In terms of specifications, there is no solid information. But as per popular tipster Ishan Agarwal, the Samsung Galaxy A51 come with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display. He also mentioned that the phone will come with Android 10, out of the box with Samsung’s One UI 2.0 on top. The phone will pack a big 4000mAh battery and in terms of camera, there will be a primary 48MP sensor.

In terms of processor, if we believe the alleged listing of the phone on Geekbench, the phone should be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9611 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM. However, there is a possibility of another variant of Galaxy A51 with 6GB of RAM, in that case, there will be two variants- 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. Apart from these minor details, no solid specs sheet is available at the moment, but as the launch date approaches, we expect some more details to be leaked out. OnePlus 8 Lite Revealed in CAD Renders!

Published

on

OnePlus once had a mid-range phone- OnePlus X. The OnePlus X didn’t get a very positive reaction from the consumers but it looks like the company is trying to enter the mid-range smartphone market again. Along with the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, we may see the OnePlus 8 Lite getting launched next year. OnLeaks has revealed the CAD renders of the phone.

From the renders, we can conclude that there will be some very obvious marks of the ‘Lite’ tag as the OnePlus 8 Lite will have considerably bigger bezels around the display. The phone will come with a flat display with a punch-hole camera in the middle on it towards the top. However, in terms of build, the OnePlus 8 Lite will come with a curved glass rear panel. The back seems to have a rectangular camera module that houses a dual-camera setup. On the right side of the camera module, there is an LED flash and probably a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor.

The phone will come with a 6.4-inch or 6.5-inch display and OnePlus will most likely put an in-display fingerprint scanner on it because we can’t find any physical fingerprint scanner on the phone. The phone is expected to come with an AMOLED panel but details like resolution or refresh rate are still unknown.

Like all other OnePlus phones available right now, the OnePlus 8 Lite would also get rid of a headphone jack and will house only a USB-C port at the bottom, making it harder for the company to troll other mid-range phones without a headphone jack! However, the OnePlus 8 Lite will still have the classic Alert Slider like all other OnePlus phones, which many would appreciate for sure. Here’s a video showing the OnePlus 8 Lite renders in every way possible!

After OnePlus X was launched, the company had claimed that the company would focus only on flagship phones but looks like the ever-increasing prices of the flagships are somehow hurting the brand as in the smartphone market, players like Xiaomi and Realme are bringing some great phones or rather cheap phones are getting better. So, now, after four long years, OnePlus is once again ready to throw its hat into this crazy crowder mid-range smartphone market.

Published

on

Realme released the Realme 5 and the 5 Pro back in August. Two months later, the Chinese manufacturer announced a new version under the 5s moniker that can be considered an upgrade over the vanilla version. Realme is now planning to launch a fourth variant of the 5 series- the Realme 5i.

Realme 5i has received multiple certifications hinting its imminent launch. It got Wi-FI Alliance, Indonesia’s TKDN, Thailand’s NBTC and even India’s BIS. Unfortunately the certification reveals very few details about the handset apart from the RMX2030 model number.

Though we believe Realme 5i is ready to be unveiled, it is likely not happening until later this month. The company is set to release the Realme XT 730G (aka X2) along with truly wireless earphones. Realme may have started off its global campaign quickly and earned the title of the fastest-growing smartphone market, India is still a key market for the company.

The certifications reveal that the Realme 5i will run Android 9 Pie. So it will be joining the list of smartphones that will be getting ColorOS 7. Details about the smartphone are scarce right but it might be a budget offering –succeeding the Realme 3i that was launched earlier this year. The smartphone recently received the ColorOS 6 software update among others.

The Realme 3i featured a 6.22-inch HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. It comes in 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB storage variants. The rear sports a dual-camera setup consisting of a 13MP camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, Chroma Boost, Hybrid HDR and a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, it sports a 13MP sensor with AI Beautification and Face Unlock. It is backed by a 4230 mAh battery that offers up to 22 hours of browsing, up to 14 hours of playing videos on YouTube, and up to 35 hours of usage. Realme 5i is expected to come with similar or better specs than its predecessor.

Qualcomm Gets 5G Ready: Snapdragon 765 5G SoCs Along With Snapdragon 865 Launched

Published

on

Qualcomm, at its fourth Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii, has announced three new smartphone chipsets. The company has announced the new Snapdragon 865 SoC along with Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 756G. The Snapdragon 865 is the company’s flagship SoC which is better than Snapdragon 855 and 855+ in many aspects like graphics, performance boost, and AI. But the chipset doesn’t have an integrated 5G modem, instead, it supports an X55 5G modem, which was launched earlier this year. So, next year, even if we see flagship phones being powered by Snapdragon 865, offering 5G connectivity, we will have to make a deal with battery power for sure. However, the company has not provided all the details and shared technical aspects today, more details will emerge in the next two days.

Apart from Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm also announced the two mid-range chipsets- Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 765G. These are the most interesting chipsets announced today as these will have integrated 5G, and also, these chipsets will make their way to more affordable phones. The biggest details about these processors are 15 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second) speed, offered by Snapdragon 865 and in terms of the Snapdragon 765 and 765G, the biggest highlights are  HDR10 4K video recording and support for up to 192-megapixel camera sensors.

Apart from the chipsets, Qualcomm announced its new in-display fingerprint technology called 3D Sonic Max. As per Qualcomm, 3D Sonic Max offers 17 times larger recognition area compared to that of the previous generation. With the new 3D Sonic Max, users will also be able to use more than one finger simultaneously for authentication.

In terms of first users of these chipsets, many prominent smartphone makers have already lined up and planned to use the chipsets in their latest devices. Xiaomi has announced that the Mi Note 10 will be launched in the first quarter of 2020 and it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset. It will be one of the first smartphones in the world to be powered by the flagship chipset. Oppo will also launch a phone with Snapdragon 865.

In terms of more affordable phones, HMD Global owned Nokia will be one of the first ones to launch a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 765 mobile platform. Xiaomi VP Lin Bin also announced that the company will launch the Redmi K30, powered by Snapdragon 765 soon with 5G support. It was already known that the Redmi K30 is being launched on December 10 and now, if that phone supports 5G then it may probably end up being the first mid-range smartphone supporting 5G connectivity.

Motorola’s President Sergio Buniac also made claims that Motorola will bring phones with Snapdragon 765 and 865, and he also stressed a bit about the developments going on regarding foldable phones. So, maybe we can expect the next edition of Razr Phone launching next year with the latest chipsets and 5G support.

Apart from these brands, Realme and Meizu also made claims of bringing phones with Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 765. These are some rumors that Realme X50 may come with the any of the new chipsets and with 5G. Meizu claims that it will be the first company to actually put a Snapdragon 865 SoC powered smartphone in the hands of the consumers. As of now, it’s not very clear who will be able to hold the title of first Snapdragon 865 powered phone or Snapdragon 765 powered phone, but this cold war among brands will surely turn interesting in the next few days as it has been confirmed that the Redmi K30 is coming with Snapdragon 765. More details about these latest chipsets from Qualcomm are awaited, meanwhile, a social media war among brands seem inevitable. We are closely keeping an eye on the developments and will share updates regarding the same.
