Coolpad is all set to launch a new smartphone for the Indian market. Dubbed as the Coolpad Cool 3, it will feature a dewdrop notch and a glossy back panel. The upcoming smartphone is likely to be a entry-level smartphone priced under the 6K segment.

The recently launch teaser reveals that it will be unveiled on February 5. The teaser doesn’t contain any information about the smartphone and reads “Game is About to Begin”. The recently reports indicate that the Coolpad Cool 3 will have a glossy rear panel and have multiple color options. It is the first smartphone from the Chinese brand to sport a waterdrop notch. The device is likely to run the latest Android 9 Pie operating system.
The company has recently launched three budget smartphones in the Indian market. The Coolpad Mega 5, Mega 5M and Mega 5C sports a traditional design with top and lower bezels. The Mega 5 comes with a dual camera setup and a rear fingerprint sensor. However, the Mega 5C and Mega 5M has only a single rear camera and lacks a fingerprint sensor.
The Coolpad Mega 5 houses a 1.5 GHZ quad-core MediaTek MT6739 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card. The dual SIM smartphone features a 5.7 inch HD+ display, runs on Android 8.1 and is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. It sports a 13MP primary camera with a 0.3MP VGA camera and a LED flash while offering a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling.
On the other hand, the Coolpad Mega 5C and Mega 5M is powered by a quad core chipset and comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further increased to 32GB via a microSD card. Both the smartphone sport a 5MP rear camera while offering a 5MP and 2MP front camera respectively. The Mega 5C also sports a larger 5.45 inch display while the Mega 5M sports a 5.0 inch HD display.
