Coolpad has launched a new budget segment smartphone for the Indian market. Dubbed as the Coolpad Cool 3 Plus in India, the device has been launched with ultra refined and improved specifications than its predecessor. Along with that the Chinese manufacturer also launched an upgraded variant of the Cool 3 that was launched earlier this year.
The Coolpad Cool 3 Plus features a 5.71 inch display with a resolution of HD+ (1570 x 720 pixels) and 19:9 aspect ratio. There is a dew drop notch on top. Under the hood, it is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek Helio A22 chipset. The smartphone is available in two configurations: 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage. Both the variants have expandable memory up to 128GB via microSD card.
In the optics department, the latest Coolpad smartphone sports a single 13MP camera at the rear and a 8MP selfie camera at front. It comes with certain modes and filters to give amazing effects to your photos. The handset runs company’s innovative UI on top of Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery that is touted to offer 14 hours of talk time and 7 hours of 1080p video playback time. It has a rear fingerprint sensor but it also comes with Face Unlock support. Connectivity options include VolTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB-OTG.
The Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is priced at Rs 5,999 for the 2GB/16GB variant and Rs 6,499 for the 3/64GB variant competing against the likes of Realme C2 and Xiaomi Redmi 7. It is available in two color options: Cherry Black and Ocean Blue, both having a 3D mirror-like finish. As for the Cool 3, there is only one variant with a 4GB/64GB configuration priced at Rs 7,999 and will be a offline only model.
