Boom! Mobile is an MVNO that operates on Verizon and T-Mobile networks. They offer many cheap prepaid plans for individuals and businesses.

Boom! Mobile offers two types of plans, based on the networks that power those plans, Boom Red and Boom Purple plans. Both of these plans require a different set of APN settings, and if you mix up the APN settings from Boom Red to Boom Purple, you might face problems in connecting to the internet on your device.

Also, if you haven’t already received the APN settings after switching the SIMs, you will have to manually configure your phone with the correct and updated Boom Mobile APN settings.

7. After entering the details, click on the 3 dot menu on the top right.
8. Select “Save”.
9. Reboot your phone.

If you have an iPhone, follow these steps on configuring Boom APN settings for iPhone:

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
  2. Select “Cellular” option from settings.
  3. Now select “Cellular Data Network” from here.

5. After you enter the APN settings correctly, swipe up to home to save the settings.
6. Turn on Mobile data on your phone.

What are APN Settings?

APN or Access Point Name is the gateway used by a mobile phone to connect to the internet through cellular data. It acts more like a username and password for your phone to connect to the internet.

Correct APN settings are required on your phone to have a seamless connection to the internet. If the APN settings on your phone are not correct, or if it is not configured at all, you might face issues such as data not working, texts not going through or call not working.
